I don't know if this has been talked about but has anyone washed their engine and engine bay? Mines a bit dirty and want to clean it. What's a good product, what to watch for and not get wet etc..
    Thanks in advance image.jpg

Hopefully someone else can chime in but I was always told to keep the engine running and try to use as little pressure as necessary, not spraying anything directly with the pressure washer by fanning out the stream.

I know I would definitely stay away from any HID lighting components, if equipped, as a precaution.

I'm sticking with driverdog's suggestion. Use your preferred cleaner and hand wipe your engine and components. To much electrical and wiring for me. Retro fit, drls, under hood lighting, that's just my .02. ;)

This attitude is why I love these forums - I joined some other Tundra forums when I bought my truck and found that those communities aren't nearly as active, respectful, or helpful as this one is. As a result, other than occasional perusing, this is the only Tundra forum I frequent and the only one I actively take part in.

Just so my post isn't completely off topic, I always have hand detailed the engine compartment and I am pretty anal about it in my vehicles as well. If you keep up on it there will never be any need to spray it down.

Backslider, what you said pretty much sums it up, and that's why Tundras.com is the only Tundra forum I engage with. The people here are fantastic and willing to help you if they can. There's no hey man.... That's why we have a wheel thread. I'm not saying you shouldn't look through a thread , as everyone should to try to get an answer to there question. It's when you have an out pouring of support from everyone, including the "Moderators" hahaha. I truly feel this forum has a family like atmosphere, but a lot of shit talking, smart ass comments, etc etc. I'm apologize let me get to the point Best F@cking Tundra forum period. Imop of course. Salute
