How to swap out seats

I'm in the process of purchasing a 2006 (access cab) with NO RUST and bench seats in the front and will be selling my beloved 2000 (also access cab) with very comfy bucket seats (manual) and center console. Is it possible to swap them out with some mods on the track, etc? Is it crazy to try because of the airbag sensors? I just had a hip replaced a few months ago and my 2000 is easy to ride in for a long distance, but I would be willing to buy some new used bucket seats and console if I can find them, but want to make sure they are the correct ones. Seems like there's a lot of different sizes because of the cab variations. Does anyone have any clear specs on what would fit that year? Or any tips on doing the swap? Thanks!

 

Are you asking if you can swap 05 bench for 02 buckets? If so, I think you can but the sensors may need to be modified.

If you are asking about aftermarket seats, or seats from other vehicles, I have seen lots of seats put into these trucks but not much detail on how it was done. I plan to at some point swap out my bench for an OEM console and Mastercraft buckets.

I'm hoping my 2000 bucket seats will fit in the 2006 with the bench seat-- wondering about the airbag sensors and bolt holes lining up, and any other issues like the center console. One guy in the other thread replaced buckets from different years but haven't found a thread about buckets vs bench other than people wanting to do it. I'll have to just give it a try blind, I guess.
