Got my Sequoia grab handle installed today. Really suks Toyota decided to delete this handle. I plan to keep this truck into retirement and I am doing a 2-1/2 front level. I know the day will come I will really need that handle as I get older.

Its not hard at all to do. There is a write up somewhere with pics that I followed. The mod is a little on the pricey side tho ($165 ish). It is worth it to me....I use the handle every time I get in or out.

Everytime I see the grab handle mentioned I think how I should do it. One of these days!!

Another note on this. When I installed mine it occurred to me that I could increase the strength of the handle considerably by tapping out the 10 mil hole to a 5/16-18 NC and use a 5/16 U-nut from ACE hardware. Since I had already bought the 1/4-20 U-nut from ace I just went with that and the existing 10 mil bolt.
I may in the future do a write-up on upgrading this mod with 5/16 or even 3/8 bolts since I am 5'9" and 225 lbs and gaining LOL. There is some flex in the handle when I really use it to hoist my fat ass and I think bigger bolts will be a good thing.....especially when I get my 5100s installed.

$165 for your handle, was that price for a new handle? What if you get it from the junk yard? what year & models should I look for?

I would think they're all the same from 07-17. If not, 07-13 or 14-17, depending on what year you have.
