I drain it when I change the oil @5k intervals and I'm getting about that much at each time. I am running the RXP catch though... guess it is working well. It feels good the know that crud is not going back in the motor, especially a Supercharged motor.

What is the benefit of having catch can......I have 2008 with 140k and have never had an issue .......can you please tell me why I should do this?

I've seen videos of Bust or myth and they say it's worth getting one installed but not worth buying the expensive brands due to not being moving part just serves as a can

Here’s another thread where we were talking about it. More beneficial to SC guys. I feel that eliminating much of the oil vapor helps keep the octane in the fuel consistent as well as helping to keep the intake system free of an oil coating. I don’t have one but I did on my LS motor on my old vehicle. I was surprised how much oil it caught.

If you buy cheap, it is worthless...
Talk to James @ RXPerformance and he will educate you for what is worth. RXP catch cans actually work, so you get what you pay for. The Radium is a nice system, but is a copy design of what the RXP has perfected. They did a good job copying it and it is the only other catch can system that I would say is worth doing. Do not waste time or money on a China Crap can... It will do nothing.

I do have to add that on a normally aspirated motor (no supercharger) a catch can is not needed, in fact there is a factory version tucked under the intake manifold that takes on the task. But with a SC, there is boost (positive crankcase pressure) added which forces more of the crud out through the pcv valve (unburt fuel particles, oil blowby, and anything left over after combustion) it then travels back into the intake line to start again. An effective catch can will filter this crud out of the system and thus allowing a clean flow back into the mix. This is critical on SC motors due to the octane minimums. The more crud reintroduced to the air intake, the less pure it is to burn and thus reduces the effective octane of the gas via dirty air. With a catch can you can be rest assured that you are getting the cleanest possible air into the motor. This means more power and overall engine efficiency. All these things are minimal measurements, but everything is crucially important when using a SC.

Yup, I guess I should've prefaced my first post by saying that catch cans are really only needed for boosted engines.
