I did quite a bit of research and found them to have great reviews. Have them in my truck since June and love them... zero complaints.

TRD Air Filters, Front door windows tinted to match the rears. Wheel locks, Talons Garage cat shield, Tyger Automotive soft tonneau cover, WeatherTech floor mats with Tuff Skinz Custom Emblem kit, Toyota OEM Emblem Black Out kit. AVS vent covers on all four doors, Red Tundra letters on front bumper & TRD highlighted in Red on front grille. Tailgate Tundra Letters in Black.
Not all Best Buy’s are the same.

The Geek Squad guy that put my system in is an electrical engineer.

I went stock head unit with Alpine power pack amp powering the 6.5 front component speakers with 1” tweeters and Alpine 6.5 in the rear doors.

In cargo box under back seat is a low profile Pioneer 10” sub and a Pioneer amp pushing that.

As far as Best Buy goes, time is money. I heard that installers had to reluctantly cut corners just to meet the time deadline for the install. Not good!

Personally, I’d go with components up front. I’ve done coaxials in my doors before. I hated having my soundstage down low. I’d go with components. It gives you flexibility with your install. If you go with more expensive speakers, you most likely will be going to components anyways.

As far as brands go, it’s budget restricted. Everyone has their own opinion of brands. My advice is to go demo several brands and models. It was a tough decision for me. I got caught in a trap however. I wanted to listen to my demo music on reference grade speakers to hear how the music sounds. Then I went to demo the speakers in my price range. I didn’t like the sound on any of them after hearing them on the reference system. I ended up buying my reference speakers. I ended up buying Hertz Mille Pro components. Audiofrog GB series also sound fantastic! I just liked the Mille a little bit better. Both were better than Focal. But that’s just me, everyone has their own taste. Take your time and demo. I demoed the Hertz 3 separate occasions. It was not an easy decision. Good luck!

My friend has Infinity Reference like these and I was very impressed but cost pretty much $249

I’d go 6.5 simply because there’s more options in that size than with 6x9s)

    Mcnee,
I use to run these in my tundra. They're nice but they blew on me so I changed over to
Infinity KAPPA-60CSX 6.5" Component Speakers KAPPA-90CSX 6x9 Component Speakers These are a bit tougher and the highs are crisper. The 6x9 itself is more robust and seems to handle the amp alot better with out distorting.
I bought a bracket from taco tunes but still had to get creative with mounting it. It is a bit thick but still fit in the door.

Kappas series has a great sound but if you don’t have an amplifier these are way under powered.

    Good choice!

Im about to buy the same speakers but I was scheptical on the fitting of the 90csx. They need 3 3/16”. Do you have pics of yourr installation? Did you add the 20mx midrange? What amp are you running?

    First Truck,
I'm sorry I don't have any pics. I can tell you that I got the Taco Tunes 6x9 bracket and it was still hitting the window crank arm. I had fabricate some aluminum spacers so that they would fit. Instead of fabricating spacers like I did, you should be able to use nuts about 3/8" thick. I then used Dynamatt to fill the gaps. I use a Rockford Fosgate T400 to power all 4 doors.
I only replaced the two front doors with the Infinity Kappa 90 csx. That came with a pair of 6x9 , 2" tweeters and the cross overs. I didn't use the the speaker grills but I did have a hard time aligning the speakers with the slot provided from the door panels. Looks like the speakers are on sale at cruchfield. I paid $350 for my set but looks to be cheaper now. Good luck and feel free to ask away if you have any questions.

Let me know if you just have to have a pic. I'll pull a door panel off for you and take a pic to help you out.

Thanks for the input. Im really into these Infinity Kappas 90csx as well as the 60csx for the back. According to your experience, I might be building my own spacers. Im also using the RF T400 but just to run the 6x9. I will add the 20mx midrange (65W rms each). Anyways thanks for your help. Much appreciated.

I need some help on what to buy to allow me to install Infinity 693.5i 6x9s in the front doors of my 2018 non jbl DC.
Which spacers or adapters are the best and what will i need to do to allow for their mounting depth of 3 3/16" (what it says on box of 6x9s)?
Will the front of the speakers or Door panels have any issues with space on the front/face of the 6x9s when I put them back on?

I owned these Infinity Kappa 6x9s already and am trying to use them.

Thanks, I have been searching and this looks to be the best thread on this (although it is a little older).

Those speaker are too high to be installed with standard adapters. It will hit the track of the window inside the door. You will have to shim a standard adapter. You can get them on ebay or Amazon or make them yourself. If Im not wrong the adapter needs to be 1” high.

If I find some adapters at 1" high, Will that cause any door panel fitment issues?
If anyone sees some, please link them or PM them to me. I would greatly appreciate it (i'm currently looking as well).
