305/55/R20 Fuel Vapors +1 offset with 3/1 nitro kit

Recently ordered a set of 305 55 R20 with some Fuel vapors +1 offset. Will this set up work with a Nitro 3/1 level lift? Worried about the rub..

 

If your truck is anything like mine, you will need to chop the body mounts. My wheels are 18 mm offset wheels and my tires are a few mm away form the body mounts.

 

I figured there would be rubbing. Damn.. Didn't want to mess with the frame. Would another offset work?

 

I just moved to a +25 offset wheel, running 285/65r18 with a 3/1 coilover lift - I had rubbing when in reverse even after removing the front and rear mudflaps in the front wheel wells. With the new wheels that is no longer a problem.

Your wheels are only about .5" bigger than mine, so I imagine if you can get your offset somewhere between +30 and +12 you'll be in good shape.

I should also mention my previous offset was effectively about +9.2

 

Buddy of mine got the same lift/same tires and his offset was +18 still had some rubbing

 

I have a 3/1 lift on 305/55/20 nitto trail graplers, 20x9 +18 offset. HAD no rubbing, got it alighed and they zeroed out my caster and now I rub at full lock in reverse, just a tiny bit. Next alignment I'm going to have them back up the caster .5 degrees to where it was and it'll never touch. Or I might just heat and move my plastics a half inch. Either one would fix it.

 

For 2nd gen Tundras, it's easy to unscrew the two bottom screws and make two push the plastic liner as tight as it goes then rescrew. It's an easy mod. I understand that with 3rd gen, it's not as easy.

If you are not planning to get fender flares, get around 35 mm. The side of your truck will thank you.

 

Would you then cut off the excess of the lower underside part of the bumper. It's been so long since I've been under there I don't remember what it looks like

 

When you unscrew the two bottom screws, the plastic liner can be pushed further into the bumper. For most rubbing, that should be sufficient.

 

Hey guys. Just had my 305 55 R20 Cooper ST maxx fit on my tundra and there is some rub on the body mount.

 

Would this be safe to trim without taking away strength?

 

Also would changing the offset prevent rubbing?

 

Just got done chopping the mount. Hopefully that does the trick. Gunna have a cap welded on it also. Thanks for the reply.
