Not yet. Starting research now. But I have opened my doors up for new oem towing mirror install. So I saw the wires.
My goal here will be passenger side first. and rear passenger side for guests.
If all works ordering 3 more for drivers side behind drivers and rear window.

So that device adds noise filtering or prevents ground hum? I haven't seen these before

it says - when adding an amplifier to a factory radio to convert the radio's speaker level output to the lower amplifier (RCA) level input
So I think it just gives you flat signal.
It also does mention - Utilize Audio Transformer for Noise Isolation

So I assume they want you to noise filter with another device.

I guess I am looking to flatten the sound before the alpine amp.

So I just ordered the Alpine unit and wiring harness. I'll be joining the club soon enough.

Your going to like it man. Take time to adjust gain when all is running.

Will do. I'm sure I'll be asking you a question or two. I am almost ashamed to say that because I had one helluva system that I put together and wired in my first vehicle. That was about 18 years ago though. :(

Same story here. I have not done this in a long time. I got help here as well. But after soldering all the wires and wrapping it up in electrical tape. Everything worked just fine. It will make sense after you connect using the Pin numbers per text file

So I've read through the entire threat and just a bit confused. Let me know if I am correct - I can add the amplifier that OP recommended with the harness from autoharness.com and not have to splice anything, correct? I really don't want to cut up any wires and mess anything up. Thanks for any clarification you can provide.

Yes. But you still have to solder the autoharness harness to the alpine harness. Yes if you follow post #11 it should all work. Like it did for me.

So it's not just plug n play? Soldering is required? Darn. Don't have soldering equipment.

A soldering iron isn't much and will come in handy for other things down the road. I've yet to do this yet (my amp is en route to me) but I'd imagine you could use those crimp splices but soldering prevents any loose connections.

Yes you can always use quick splice https://www.amazon.com/Ginsco-Terminals-Self-stripping-Insulated-Disconnects/dp/B01CDWC60Y/

Shit cant ever be easy. Started on my install today but a mounting screw on each side of the amp will not come out. I hit it with some Kroil oil but they are stuck in there good and the heads are stripped. Thinking about either velcroing to factory amp cover or using 3M tape. Should still be fine but was hoping to screw it down.

I never took my amp out. I just pulled the wires out. And plugged em into new wires. Did not even take the seat out.

Sorry, I meant the new amp as it came with mounting brackets in which two screws have to be removed on each end of the amp so you can attach the bracket so it can then be screwed down. It's not an issue now- I've got an alternate method.

Infinity Reference REF-3032CFX 3-1/2" 2-way Car Speakers should be here tomorrow for my dash speakers.
They are 4 ohms and are 1 ohm more over OEM. But should work just fine.

What is interesting is that front dash speakers left and right are 6 ohms
    Front 6x9 2ohm
    Rear 6.5 are 2ohm
Rear Tweets are 4 ohm... Little bit of a head scratcher. Why are the tweets more ohm vs mids for OEM.

Current setup is 4 ohm for all Mids front and rear with OEM rear tweets and OEM front dash speakers. I have 4 tweeters but I think They will not be same as the cross over for oem is different. More tests are needed. I might do infinity front dash. More tests.

Anyways. Drove around today and stereo sounds amazing.

I was thinking about simply changing out the crummy stock speakers with some good ones. Would that alone make a big difference?
