    What is the AMP suggestion for NON-JBL guys with this kit?
    I am trying to understand difference between group buy speakers and amp vs OEM Audio (no-sub).
    Obviously price would be lower on 12volts but will it clean-up factory HU signal enough?

    Agree, no doubt. When I was stock HU, I would have just gone ahead and got an amp, but the Tesla android HU I installed last fall really woke up my stock speakers, so much so that I was hesitant pulling the trigger here. I might be happy with just more soundstage clarity after I install dash and doors.

    Same advice he gave me. I’m non-JBL, ordered amp, rack, and wiring and no DSR1 needed. James also confirmed the JBL replacement sub he had on group buy before will work great with that amp so I plan to add it. Bummer you can’t fit something behind seats in DC.

    I'll have to rethink my recovery storage if I do anything sub wise. Then I have to buy a new DuHa storage box that will work for a double cab with a sub.

    This is the route I chose to go. Went with sub first, hertz mids and tweeters and just purchased the Phoenix HU. Figure if it still doesn’t cut it then amp it is:)

    I really want a new head unit. I have a 5 channel amp, I just can't bring myself to buy the dsr1 for my OEM JBL headunit because I really dislike it. I'd rather get a aftermarket. But dont wanna/can not spend over 400 on one and all the harnesses required for it.

    Yes sir that was the only part not allowing me to pull the trigger on the amp was additional DSR1. Found the new designed Tesla with coupon code for $550. Just couldn’t beat that deal

    Does it work with steering wheel controls? Bluetooth? Pandora on the headunit? Android audio? Do you have to plug your phone into it to use all the features? I really havent heard much about the new design, I read the original being a nightmare to be honest

    I believe you can utilize Bluetooth via phone for connection. From what I’ve gathered once your phone is paired you can download any android app. Also believe all OE controls still work. I’m no pro though.

    Ordered doors and dash. Canadian currency conversion added $120 but still worth it IMO. I wonder how many kits he sold, I’m sure it’s over 24.

    I know you got DuHa but if you have an OEM setup it is easy cut and with my swing case all good.

    When I saw DuHa the first time online I look every which way, even broke out the tape measure. I could not make the DuHa for factory sub work. JRT sub lot bigger than OEM option sub.
