Hey guys new to the forum, making the move from a 15 ram 2500 Cummins to a 16 CM 4x4 plat. I have checked several dealers and have some numbers back that I thought I would run by everyone. Any advice is much appreciated.

here is what they have offered for 2016 TUNDRA 4X4 CM PLAT with remote engine start, spray on bed, trd air filter, and trd duel exhaust, rear sawy bar, and tube steps.
    $53,916 MSRP

    $53,916
    $2271 discount-
    $1,250 rebate-
    =$50,395 adjusted price
$5,390 whels, tires, and coilover kit. 22" wheels, 35" tires+
    =$55,785 total price

$40,000 trade allowance( right at what I owe on my truck)
    $15,785 trade difference

    $598 Doc fee
    $1,398.63 tax

    $138 non tax fees
    $17,981.35 net price

does this seem like a good deal? I know the extra wheels, and tires, and coilover kit I priced was right at $5,100. so I don't mind letting dealer put them on for $5390. I feel like I can get a little more off of their truck. thoughts?

18k net + 40k you owe on yours = 58k bottom line to finance. That would be over 800.00 per month in payments using 72 months with 0% interest.
The question is do you want to pay over 800.00 per month?
For me I say screw that noise, that's me though.

I'm hearing in a lot of states, you should be looking for $6k off MSRP. Extras, tax and title would add to this.

Sell your truck outright and tell them $53k out the door and work from there.

Doesn't seem like a deal to me. I got my platinum for 48k OTD. Line-x was 500, MBRP exhaust was 350, sway bar was sub 300, and nfab running boards were less than 400 IIRC.

Knowing what I know now, I would just hop from dealer to dealer until I got $6k or more off MSRP. I got $5k back in early July and now wish I waited, but oh well...

I found a dealer here in Texas who will order me a 2017 Platinum 4X4 without options added! He gave me a a price before TT&L of
$46,818.00. Without a trade in OTD price of $50,000.00. I have a 2016 Tacoma TRD off road 2WD that he will give me $30,000 on trade, so I only owe $13,000!

    Does this sound about right'

$46,818 minus the trade of $17,000 in equity means I would pay $29,818 plus pay the TT&L on the $29,818 with would be,

    Vehicle $29,818 + TT&L $2,150 = $31,968 OTD total!
