Today we were talking about the other side being the problem but now it looks like maybe this side is what's causing the problem? Some of mine were a little bent but you win!

Then that’s probably a good score. I’m willing to bet it was mostly dudes and I’d really rather not have a handjob from one of them. Callouses.

Closing your eyes doesn’t help with callouses. Lol. Kevin, did you watch Truck Night in America? Kyle Busch had Icons with secondaries.

I just watched it this morning! That was bad ass. He should have listened to his coach about water through.

I’d be interested in seeing how the truck is after that huge huck. We’ve only been maybe half that high in ours.

The window of the CM slides downward (!), so the interior side of the back wall of the cab isn't built for any structural support; it just protects and separates the glass from the interior of the cab. But the back wall of the DC actually has metal hooks that accept and secure metal clips built into the back side of the rear seats. Do you need a link to the thread on this mod (by Joonbug) It included all this info.

Edit: Never mind. I see Joon already posted the link. Read that (and weep). ;)

Then down that rear window and feel better again.

Finished up the passenger side cam tabs today. Last night I left off with one of the mounts being bent really bad. It needed to be bent back this much.
    B3C46AF1-38B7-4264-BC5F-049C406714EA.jpg

Tried a BFH... pffftt... no chance in hell. I think it needs some serious machinery to bend it back, which I don’t have. So I decided my only option was to add more metal under the tab. So I just welded on a little piece there.
    CB55F860-B666-459D-9840-3E3E46DE73E1.jpg

Sanded it down until the tab sat flush and welded the tab on.

It’s on there pretty good. It’s so thick now I think it’s stronger than the original mount.

Then got the other 3 welded on and painted.

Put the LCA back on and I’m done. Never want to do that again unless I have a lift.

Slapped this on while waiting for paint to dry. Fits good and looks solid. Can’t wait to go test it out.

A little rosebud action, and we could have bent the mount back. I'm only 18 hours away....hop, skip, and a long vacation away..:D

It's a tip for oxy/acetylene torches. Heats the metal up nicely.....

After reading The latest thread, Joon you need a oxy/acetylene torch set up in your garage for steel re structuring. Great job on the repair you had to do.
Now I know why you were asking for lower control arm bushing guards from Victory
I have the torch set up to borrow next time.... If needed...

Yup. This was exactly why. The LCA skids will come tomorrow. Hopefully it protects the mounts in the future. If it doesn’t, it’s just a matter of time I smash them all up again.

Look on CL. I seen some used oxy/acetylene setups for pretty cheap in your area. Might even get lucky and the bottles don't need to be hydro'd for a while (every 5 years).

I think it might be the same as what jewelers use for their torches. I come across some from time to time. Next time I see one maybe I’ll grab it.

    Jewelers....your being funny right...
My set up is for heating 1/4 - 1/2 inch thick steel ( aka rosebud tip) and smaller welding tips for mild steel rod welding.
    (old school)

A nice set up will come with a few tips pressure gauges, lines, possible a cart for the tanks. Oh and tip cleaner device.
