    Hello all!

Just purchased a brand new 2019 Toyota Tundra SR (Work Truck Package).

However, I would love to swap the stock halogen healdlight bulbs to a Cool White LED bulb (H4/9003/HB2). I dont need anything super bright. Just looking for the nice cool white appearance .
I found two options on Amazon, but have had a hard time finding confirmed positive reviews for Tundras. Would love some suggestions and first hand successes!

Here is what I found on amazon so far:

    https://www.amazon.com/Auxbeam-Head...65&keywords=auxbeam+nfs1&psc=1∣=AFLE0NKKTARYW

    https://www.amazon.com/Cougar-Motor...+HEADLIGHT&dpPl=1&dpID=51gmVUHlqlL&ref=plSrch

Thanks in advance for any help!!

results may not be what you are expecting unless you get new housings as well. You will scatter light, have bad cutoffs, and probably get flashed by other drivers quite a bit. LED bulbs don't perform well in the stock (or any) reflecting housing.

    Really? Darn, That's unfortunate.
Any other options that will give me what I'm looking for?

You can achieve a pretty good cut-off with LEDs. They just have to be aimed right.

Even halogens have a little bit of scatter above the cutoff line. It’s unavoidable with a reflector housing.

I put in an HID kit from Xenon Depot on my wife's '14 4Runner. Had them for about 6 months now with no issues. Lots of wires/ballasts to hide. They don't heat up as much as the LEDs. You do have to adjust the level of the beam though but that's not difficult. One of the reasons we got the Limited Tundra was the LED lights.

No problems with my Auxbeam NF-S1. I Jane them in the headlights and fog lights. Only needed to adjust down one dial. Never been flashed in the 2 months I've had them installed. I'm out the door every morning at 530am so always night driving. Beam pattern is the same

Sorry but that statement that HID bulbs running cooler than leds is untrue. HID bulbs consume more power than led bulbs and they get hotter than leds.

@TundraTSS19, thanks man! stock housings? Low and High beams are good?

And @Top, I've never looked into HID's before, only because it seemed like less of a drop-in. Is there an advantage in the performance with stock housings?

Also, I've seen some complaints of LED's screwing with people's car radio signals. What's that about?

And @War Machine, I am located in Upstate NY.

Yes stock halogen housings and no issues with radio. Doesn't create any kind of interference. Surely don't put HID Kit into a halogen housing because there is no way to control the beam period!! The Auxbeam has the proper cap above the low beam to direct the light.

They are polarity sensitive meaning you can install them backwards and there are two ways you can install them. Just make sure you install them with the metal cup facing downwards. You can remove the bulb from the black mount to install onto the headlight housing and then place the black headlight cap on before installing the bulb.

In case you aren’t aware, you have to take the grill off and remove the headlights to change the lamps. If in your budget, it may be a good time to get aftermarket headlights if you want them.

    Same amount of work.

    Understood @War Machine,
My budget is exactly the problem right now.
Unless there are quality aftermarket headlights sub $150 I dont know about, lol.

Honestly, they would have to be dirt cheap. There's a reason I'm only spending 40-60$ on just the bulbs right now. Things be tight.

I went with GTR lighting from headlight revolution. Led headlight and fogs, not cheap, but massive improvement over stock and cheaper than a quality headlight swap. Pic show low, low + fog, highs. As u can see the high beams scatter but rarely use them.

@Hams, GTR lighting - are those just bulbs swaps?

Changed mine out with the Auxbeam NF-S1 a few weeks ago.
My only complaint so far (and I don't believe it's a bulb issue because the stock halogen cast the same pattern) is the right side has a very noticeable bright spot about 25-30 feet out to the far right. I'm leaning towards it being a crappy reflector and the led just makes it stand out more.
But I can see what's on the shoulder of the road much better, so not a total loss.
Left side has an even pattern.
Haven't been flashed by oncoming traffic....yet.

I stand corrected on my earlier post. I have been wanting to switch to LED's but really can't drop the $500 plus for new housings with LED's. I have done a ton of reading and seen nothing but negative reviews on LED's in the stock housing.

Looks like some good success with the Auxbeams. With the low price point may have to give them a try.

One thing I really miss about my Jeep Wrangler is the abundance of aftermarket parts. When I switched to LED's I had a ton of options from $175 all the way up to $650

The negative reviews can come from not picking the proper led bulb. Some manufacturers claim to be good but utter garbage. The Auxbeam NF-S1 is designed exactly like a halogen with the leds placed exactly as the filament in a halogen bulb for low beam and high beam It also has the metal reflector for the low beam to project properly which gives an exactly beam pattern as a halogen. Some people have said that it produces light scatter. Well halogen ukbs produce light scatter as well. It's not a perfect cutoff but the Auxbeam will produce a pattern exactly as the oem bulb. Only thing I did was aim my lights down one click.

I installed my Auxbeams over the weekend and not sure I did it right. Wheat do you mean by "metal cup facing on top" There was a cup and that is on top of the LED that way I installed. Is that what oyu mean or should the cup be in the bottom facing up?

If you have a garage you can utilize or a wall or soenthing then you'll know if they're installed correctly. Have you tried driving at night to make sure the beam pattern is correct as well as the high beams? I'll have to get a picture of mine when it's light outside. It's late right now.

Need to check out the beam pattern against the garage door. I have drivin at night and it just seems that they are throwing light really high, like I go under a bridge and the underside is lit up. On the bright side (no pun intended) I haven't been flashed at all.

The only thing I had to do is adjust the headlights down one click of the adjustment wheel in the cab. Verify your high beams are actually throwing light further than low beam. When I initially installed my lights I had one in 180 degrees so when I used high beams the high beams would be lower than the low beams.

Well TSS19 Talked me into it. Amazon was running a 40% off coupon for the H11 fog lights so I got them too. I'll have the front off as soon as I get the dual color LED bar for the bumper mount delivered so I hope to do all the work at one time.

May have to check the orientation of lights but I thought I was sure to put the metal cup so it was on top. When I was checking out the patterns on a dark back road while driving to work early this morning it appears as if the high beam was actually throwing more light towards the ground so maybe I need to flip them.
