2010 CM RW, It has darker tint then I was used to on my previous truck and Backing up at night has become Difficult. I have a weird habit of backing in to park everywhere I go and/or pulling through spots if available.

So before I start buying crap that I may or not need, thought I'd ask.
    Any recommendation?
I would think it would be as simple as splicing into the trailer harness? Am I wrong?

Maybe some Forum Super Users can find a link for me to one that exists here on the site.

    Thank you.

I like my JDM astar backup bulbs. I was going to install some LED pods or mini bars but after I replaced my stock bulbs I was happy enough. Plenty of guys have put some bad ass accessory reverse lighting on their tundras. Endless options really.

I had the flush mount Ridgid SR-Q Series PRO Back Up Light Kit installed in my back bumper and have the VLED 7440 High Output Light bulbs in the stock backup light location. The one benefit from the stock backup light location is it tends to light the area to the side of the truck, the Ridgid SQ-Q's easily light up the area behind the truck.

I've been looking at the VLED LPR for a while. Not a bad deal with their 15% off deal right now. Does it connect to the trailer light plug, or is it tapped, or.. How do you guys have it wired?

It taps in to the tail light.....very easy install. I didn't mount it with the supplied Allen head screws. I used the security screws for license plates that you can get at the auto parts store.

Installed mine today. Have yet to try it out. I didn't like the look of the exposed license plate edges so I hacked up my cheap Amazon cover. (came with 2) Added a small nylon washer to help keep the light horizontal. Due to the way it is milled in the back to accept the plate it wants to tilt down without a small spacer of some sort. I wish they made the light as a complete frame. Not a perfect solution but as far as looks goes I guess it's a 5 footer.....
