Would be a fantastic option for you! If you want them and could cancel your other order that would work great. 5100’s performance will be above the 4600’s but they would still be excellent compared to worn out ones.

Yes, gen 2 and gen 3 mechanically are the same. Same frame, suspension, motor. Just look different

Except for a few discrepancies. Transfer case is different as well as the airbox. A few different tweaks here and there but suspension etc. like you said is the same.

100% True! Switched to a Borg Warner t-case if I remember right. Didn’t know the air box changed, learn something new everyday!

Yeah me too. I knew they were different part numbers from when I had to order a air filter. Just recently in a thread someone showed a picture of both generations air boxes side-by-side. Second GEN air box is bigger and in my opinion more desirable now.

    Curse you Perry the Platypus!
Trucks are starting to come from the factory with a 2" level option so between that and everything I've read, it doesn't hurt the truck. I'm still on the fence between the 5100 or 6112 but these are your best options.

Lol, I am not too far behind you on being a newbie.

If you don't work out a deal on the other stock ones, I will be pulling off the black stock shocks to install 5100's really soon. I have 30k miles on my '16 TSS. Ordered the kit this weekend, so once it arrives I will be installing it this weekend or next.
