Toyota App - door open?

New Tundra…. (23 Crewmax TRD Sport w/7k miles), and the Toyota app sends me notifications about doors open with a delay, like I go in the garage, open it up come back in and 4 minutes later get a notification the door is open. I have dismissed it for this weekend, but today I’m traveling on business. I know damn well I shut and locked the truck in the airport parking lot. I get a notification from the app (as I was going through security) and after getting back I look at the app and it says my driver door is open.

I reboot the app, and my phone, it still says the door is open. I try to remote lock the doors and it says it can’t because the door is open.

I’m a little freaked out, but at the same time it feels like a bug in the app to me, I know I shut the door and locked it with the fob several times.

anyone else have similar negative experience with the app in this way?

Yeah… it shows there that its open.
But that can’t be unless someone physically broke into it as I was walking into the terminal. Nuts…

 

Make a statement to Toyota and cancel your subscriptions and delete the app.

After reading the intrusive legal fine print of the connected services, I never even activated them for the free trial.

 

I hope, for you, that's not the the case.

 

Call the airport were you left it and tell them what you are seeing on your phone and ask them to go check the Truck for you. Most will do that if you give them enough information.

 

What if actually left the door open and its alerting him?? Kinda harsh.

I left my window down during the winter in Canada at the Airport. They put a note inside the truck for when I got home never even looking to see that I had roll up windows. I found the note after sweeping all the snow out

 

Well, I got back to my truck in the airport after a week, and I was pleased to walk up seeing the door shut, but, it was actually not fully closed. It was latched, and locked, but just still a smidge from flush closed.

Must have not shut it hard enough I guess with my bags and stuff in tow.
Happy ending though, truck fired up, none of my stuff was missing.
