This paring knife has a 3” blade and handle scales from American Chestnut. I dyed the chestnut green and stabilized the wood. It is a dying species and will become rare over time. The interesting thing about this one is that the client supplied me with the wood, which is from near his place in Pennsylvania.

 

Is a good thing that one is sold…good thing for my bank account

I’m really amazed at how cool this American Chestnut looks. Did not expect that from looking at the boards he gave me, it seemed kinda bland. Sure am glad that I have more of it

 

It has a unique look for sure. Plus, green or orange typically grab my attention with these things.

That’s a big one for a pocket. Do you clip it outside or did you also pick up a sheath?

I pocket carry my large Inkosi but not with shorts it is a big heavy knife but man it feels amazing in your hand.

This is my favorite lightweight carry knife Benchmade bugout with aluminum handles.

 

I keep it in my pocket. My husky sized jeans have big pockets.

 

How you like the Stitch? I’ve been on the fence about them.

 

The Inkosi is the best CRK.

 

I like it. Extremely sharp. But It’s a big hefty knife. Not something I’d want to pocket carry regularly.

I’ve been collecting and having some for users and others more for safe queens, I personally keep this in the later category.

 

That’s why I’ve hesitated. It seemed like it may be awkward to carry.

 

Yea my buddy has one and says the same thing. Only carries it when he’s wearing shorts/pants with a belt lol

 

This experiment is working out so far…
I’ve got 4 distinct and different patterns in the steel. The core is ball bearings. I’m interested in how this works when I complete the edge bevel.
I’m undecided about whether this should be a clip point. Any suggestions?

Tim, that’s a nice cleaver. Knivesranch does decent work. Solid steel and made in America. Were you able to go to their shop for it? They’re located in Texas

 

I bought it at the gun show. I'd like to visit their store.
