Is anyone running one these on their truck? Seems way easier than messing with changing the gasket and getting oil on your handIMG_3939.png

I lol'd at this. Drain it while it's hot otherwise take a nappy under your truck.

Also look at the EZ Valve. Similar design with larger opening, oil flows out quicker. I have both and use the EZ.

Ahhhh interesting. I’ve done in the normal way for years, I’ll try it out and if it takes too long I’ll remove it

Fumoto valve and a piece of vinyl tubing and your good to go. I put the tube in the drain pan, open the valve, crack open the filler cap, and go have coffee.

The only complaint I have with these is that you cannot get the last fraction of an inch of used oil out of the pan. It probably isn't a big deal at all, especially since Toyota recommends 10,000 mile oil changes. Even just pulling my drain plug, I have to jack my truck up on the passenger side to get all the oil out of the pan. I can get about half a quart more using my floor jack.

It's probably all trivial anyway, these new oils are pretty advanced. I am sure the convenience of the Fumoto far outweighs any negatives.

I've done without, and with this. Will never do without again. As far as last bit of oil, I change it every 5k, so not worried about that last little bit.

Any issues with the valve opening inadvertently? Does it lock in some way to keep it from opening?

It does. See on the photo, there's a slot the valve lever sets in (it's open in the photo, and you see part of the spring that pushes down on it)...you have to push it up out of the slot before you can turn it. Secondly, the black plastic half ring that fits onto it, also 'locks' it in that slot.

I have one, should have gotten it sooner...Direct from Fumoto, with extra black lever clip.

I'm sticking to what I know. I maintain 3 motorcycles, a tractor, a riding lawnmower, and my truck. If I loved this contraption then I'd need to buy more. In the grand scheme of things I just can't see it making a difference in my life though have to admit I said that about cruise control too, and was wrong... LOL.

For me, it solves the issue of the warm oil on a Tundra flying out towards the tire and making a mess. This allows you to redirect it easily. I also started using one of these for the filter a few changes back.

What product is that? I like the idea better than the cheesy clip thing that comes with the filter.

We recommend them to all of our customers. They typically take our F-150 customers from calling us the worse people ever to the best people ever.

Only Ford would put an oil drain plug right over a sway bar. No hole in a skid plate is big enough to deal with that mess.

I use one. Piece of tubing on the nipple and drain straight into a 5 quart jug. I stay with it for about 3 to 4 quarts then shut off and put another jug under it. While it drains into second jug I change the filter.

What's your favorite gizmo for the oil filter cap? I have a Jowett on one of my trucks, but they are sold out at the moment.

    Too many, but not enough....
I have and had this thing on every vehicle I own. One of the best bang for buck mods. I refuse to let someone else change my oil so it was a no brainer.
