Wondering if anyone has removed the front air dam on the 23 Sequoia. I bought a 2023 Limited (wish the TRD Pro would come with a second row bench and I would be driving one). Since the Pro doesn’t have an air dam, I can’t imagine there is too much of a difference in MPGs or stability, but I wanted to see if anyone has done it and what their thoughts on it were?

Got the following mods installed on 2023 Sequoia SR5:
    - Removed the air dam (valance) from the front of the vehicle.
    - TRD Pro Front Grille (with Light Bar and 3 Marker Lights)
    - TRD Pro camo pattern fender flares (with marker lights) for the 4 wheels
    - TRD Pro Skid Plate with red TRD lettering (not clearly visible in these photos)
    - aFe Front Tow Hooks (red)

Also, painted the chrome window moldings glossy black.

That looks good! How did you paint them? I'm wanting to do the same thing.

I got this done at a small body shop for $200. They sanded the chrome, applied, primer, then sprayed a couple of layers of gloss black paint, and polished it.

Did either of you experience any large drop in gas mileage when you removed the air dam?

I did not notice any drop in mileage whatsoever after the air dam (front valance) was removed.

SHOULD be drop a little bit.

I put 20K~ miles yearly, mpg is about 18.5, gas is $3.2/gallon, with air dam 2% saving fuel, so save `20000/18.5*3.2*0.02 = $69.20` a year.

So...I choose to ditch that ugly stuff.
