keep in mind it was 3 weeks between slider/bumper and low pro rack orders and my order numbers are almost 1,800 apart. busy sale for them

CV went easy for me once I pointed the C clip opening up. Hardest part was getting the bushing started in the diff for me. Just had to tap gently and straighten it out gently until it was properly seated. Not a terribly difficult job, and I think I could fly through it now that I know what to expect.

None of the videos I watched were actually for the Tundra, so I did a detailed write up in my thread.

Gotcha, I had the same issue, until I figured out that hex was loose in the install tool. Should have checked beforehand.

You should swing by and throw the truck up on the lift to install your new skids...and we can stare with beers in hand at boost muscle!

Picked up some used TRD off-road wheels and new Toyo AT3s in 285/75-18 to replace my old Method and Maxxis 295/70-18 setup. The OEM plus look has grown on me and hopefully the less poke keeps it cleaner.

right there with you, when I bought my TRD I had plans to change out the wheels sooner rather than later with the idea of 17's but the TRD OR's have really grown on me as well. Besides, that's money that can go into other areas of the truck like my plan for the OME lift kit

Definitely wish these came on the truck originally. The only other wheels I’d consider would be rock warriors 17’s but those go for more than I’m willing to spend on daily driver wheels.

Stock, with a few cosmetic mods.
After a few weeks of getting parts together and getting my ditch lights mounted, moving the rear window switch, and wiring everything up I finally got my console back together. Thanks to Rainman for the switch panel and a big thanks to Florida AF for the nice karma on the chalk bag.

One day I will put SCS wheels on my truck, if i do not find a set of these on my daily FBMP search first. I love those. Mine came with the 20" chromes and I hate them. Plus the previous owner apparently looooooooved "oopsies," which is what I call it when someone hits a curb. There is a story to that, but you get it....

    Love those!

That is slick! Doing my lift soon. I’m going to need bigger tires! What’s your lift? I assume you had to to bumper shims or a bit of trimming? Thanks!

Been busy the last two evenings working on the truck. With 67,000 miles, it was time for new pads and rotors, especially after several years of towing my camper. I went with the PowerStop kit that is on Amazon. I liked that it all came in one box, even with it weighing close to 100lbs. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00GNBGNBA. I did the driver side Monday evening and then the passenger side last night. Also installed my recently repainted tow hooks. I had originally painted them wrinkle red back in April of 2020 but the paint was starting to flake off. I also changed out my recently added AJT console screws for the blue ones. And finally, I installed the driver side grab handle that I got from Sparks Parts. Getting this kit was an ordeal. I had placed the order with them on 3/31 and it spent 2 weeks lost by Fedex at their Ellenwood, Georgia location which I learned was a black hole for packages. Fedex marked it as lost and told me to get with the shipper to file a claim. Sparks didn't want to do anything besides tell me to wait 30 days and would not respond to emails for assistance. I ended up doing a cc charge-back and then suddenly a package ships with the same tracking number and it shows up 2 days later. I canceled the charge-back but doubt that I will order from them again. I do appreciate them offering this as a kit but their customer support is awful.

So my thoughts on the knob:

    1) I hate that you have to wake it up within 30-45 seconds of stereo boot to get it to connect. If you forget, you need to go into the settings menu to get it reconnected.
    2) When it works, it’s super convenient. I mounted it below the console lid where I rest my arm, and it was great to flip the volume up and down as needed/adjust the subwoofer level on the fly.
    3) It would disconnect randomly and forget it was paired, then require a whole dumb series of steps to get it back to a working state.

I tried a few different things to work around the issues, but in the end I gave up on using it. Steering wheel controls are fine, and if you don’t know what you’re missing, you don’t need it. Maybe Alpine will update the software (again?) and fix the connectivity, but I’m not holding my breath.
