Another Pa first day buck. My son shot this nice 8pt on public land. That’s him following me in his 3rd gen 4Runner.
    Proud dad!

My Dad and I had good luck hunting together today. I shot mine this morning and got it all gutted and loaded and went to check somethings out. While we were I seen another good buck and with some work we were able to get it also. PXL_20231130_202801960.jpg PXL_20231130_144930160.jpg PXL_20231130_181438740.jpg

Yea…he’s one of the better ones I’ve seen this year. Not the biggest we’ve grown, but I was thankful for the harvest!
The wild thing was he crashed 40 yds after the shot. That first pic is how I found him. When I first walked up, I thought he was still alive….i thought there’s no way. That’s a big water vine his head fell against. ‘Made for easier taking of some pics anyways.

Very nice. Wish we had muleys around here. We(dog and I) put in a few hours with no luck. Found plenty of boot prints though. Seems my spots aren't a secret anymore. Annie dog didn't seem to mind any

That’s what a lot of my spots have turned into as well unfortunately.

Haha yeah I’m pretty lucky I love my job most of the time. I was taking a bunch of contractors out for a bid show for a project and decided to pull out the old glass after they left and spotted some brown gold!

No gobbler to post this year. Not too upset about it. They didn't want to cooperate and I didn't want to crawl across a tick infested field in mid 80s to make it happen. Getting softer as the years go by I suppose. Good to see the population improving some compared to the last couple years. Morels didn't disappoint, found about 2 five gal buckets worth.

    Wow, what a score!

Those ticks can really be a pita...we don't have many here fortunately, but even here we have a very good Idahoan friend (bow huntress) who has been completely wrecked by Lymes over the last ten years.

They're horrible here already, warm temps I recon. This was the warmest turkey season we've had in over 10 years. If they aren't bad in Idaho, I'm willing to relocate. My brother got Lymes from a tick in his own back yard in a neighborhood. I've had thousands on me over the years, been lucky I guess. Ever heard of seed ticks?...ugh
