Has anyone run into a problem with the base mount for the antenna? Mines plastic is cracked and the base doesn't hardly hold the antenna stable anymore, think it's missing the nut that's supposed to screw it down to hold it and the internal piece is really loose and has a lot of play without it. Cannot find the part anywhere all I get is loads of 07s and parts for 97 tacomas as well as 4 runners. Thanks

Part is discontinued. Gonna need to hit a junkyard for it.

Be careful at the JY as the one you take off will be just a brittle. Mine fell apart in my hand just turning the chrome ring.

I kinda wanna poke around on scamazon to find something that may pop in lol. The one and probably only thing I bought off Amazon for parts was windshield spray nozzles and I got some for a FJ Cruiser that this YouTube video recommended and they're much better imo than the dual streamers that were on there previously since I wanted ones that cover the whole window. Only thing that seemed off to me was 28 bucks and they come separate but what the hellScreenshot_20240419_081821_Amazon Shopping.jpg

They work. I have one FJ on the left side and one Tundra on the right. I believe @shifty` said it's the same part number that's on his 06. Toyota changed the design sometime back and that's why the part shows no compatible with your 2000. Trust me, it fits and works just fine.

Yeah, I might've misspoken, I think it's the top nut/ring things. @daveeasa mentioned it's NLA. I was thinking the "jewelry" (black part) was unavailable.

I have an entire unit to replace someday.

I did buy a replacement nut somewhere but then killed it trying to dechrome with bleach so that was a foolish experiment.

I want to retrofit the sequoia frenched/power antenna into my AC. But I haven't been able to find one.

I hate that mine hits everything driving into parking decks etc. Granted, it's a good warning.

I wouldn't mind just removing the antenna completely and plugging the hole. Or finding a way to mount a CB antenna there.

I actually just bought that same part from Ourisman and it did include the black plastic mount and the chrome ring.

@2000TundraKid, I would honestly just buy a new antenna base assembly from Ourisman and do that since yours looks pretty rusty. I just had to do that on my truck because there was a break in my radio line. The black plastic piece and chrome nut came with my new antenna base.

That being said, I have a used black plastic piece and chrome nut if you interested, just send me a PM if you want to go that route.

You'll also want to buy some fender well clips and some other clips (for your fender flares) if you replace your antenna base. It's accessible from inside the passenger side fender, and you'll run the wire to the back of your radio.
