Am I crazy? I feel like this should line up better. It’s been installed a few weeks now but it doesn’t line up straight on the front window border like the passenger side does. Let me know what you think. Did I overtighten it? It lines up perfectly with the rubber piece on the door side.

TRD Air Filters, Front door windows tinted to match the rears. Wheel locks, Talons Garage cat shield, Tyger Automotive soft tonneau cover, WeatherTech floor mats with Tuff Skinz Custom Emblem kit, Toyota OEM Emblem Black Out kit. AVS vent covers on all four doors, Red Tundra letters on front bumper & TRD highlighted in Red on front grille. Tailgate Tundra Letters in Black.
    I had a similar situation.

When the temps rise like in the summer months it should relax the Plastic.

I thought about that too. Glad to see it’s just the way it is. I felt liked I needed to loosen it anyway since it’s a little tight on the fabric at the top compared to the passenger side.

Yup, I thought the same thing and was worried I over-tightened. So I tried to back it off, it just made the handle give a bit when pulling on it, so I tightened it back up. So thats just the way it is. Mine looks exactly the same.

You can place a Ram mount on the lower handle mount, removes the Ill fitting cover and a great place for your phone

Yup. I had to get 3 peices total to make it all work. If you're spacing isnt right, the ball mount will spin when tightening, have a few washers on hand for that. Hit me up if you need any further info

Normal, all the handles I’ve seen have that slight imperfection/defect.

You'll just have to modify it slightly to fit around the air bag wiring. Copy the general shape of the old one after you pull it out.

My 2018 SR5 Off-road does not have a drivers side grab handle. Only on the passenger side.

Sparks here as well.. Caught a sale a while back, comes with the extra hardware that makes it a simple install. Mine is off a bit as well, not as bad as yours though.. The little bolt cover doesn't fit great on mine, popped out once, but its staying in now.

Is this handle from Sparks a Toyota OEM part?

Yes, but for different years/models. Since Toyota has not changed the design of that pillar, though, it fits just fine in newer trucks. The only thing I had to do to make it work for my 2020 was to cut out the notch (hidden once installed) for the airbag wiring.

Why is there so much debate over fitment, color or OEM. The thing will fit up to 2021. Takes 10min to install.
