I am looking into tires i have a 2020 trd sport. Tire size 275/55r19. I drive mix of city and high way. I also have a Camper about 6k pounds(recently purchased) but plan on using it every other month(but driving it no more the 200-300 miles max for right now). Looking at XL tire and E rating. Wich would be best for my application? I was looking at the cooper discovery.

Always on pavement or smooth dirt?

Either one would be fine IMO. The XL should give you a more comfortable ride while the E rated will be tougher/heavier tires with a stiffer sidewall. Some people (like myself) prefer the E rated to minimize that squishy trailer bounce feeling going over big bumps.

    Boils down to personal preference.

My vote is e rated tires, gives you extra strength and when trailering personally I’m a belt and suspenders kind of guy. I trailer with my limited tundra and my minimum load rating for tire I want to go with this 3400 per tire.

E rated tire for that extra peace of mind, i have E rated 315s, they feel no more harsh than my stock tires. I am also less worried about pot-holes with the extra beefyness of e-rated tires.
