    Hey everyone!
I just purchased a 2020 SR5 SX trim. I purposely didn’t go with a TRD to save the money for building.

That being said, WWYD product specific, if this was your truck?

I’ve got $5k to start and was thinking running board, ceramic coating, spray in liner. From there, maybe some upgraded lights? Eventually I’d like to lift it and put 35s on it.

I'd do lift and 35s and bed liner asap, get rid of those dinky tires. For $5k you can do everything you listed plus a super nice lift.

I can't tell if she's got grey leather or cloth interior. I really dig this color a lot, love it that's all matched up, however I'm not familiar with the SX trim. If it doesn't have it yet, I'd start with black leather interior and upgraded exhaust. Then the rest. That's a good looking truck

Nice! No de-badging required with the SX trim:thumbsup:

Tires immediately, and I'd have that sticker off before I got it home

Just cloth interior. I’m honestly fine with the interior for now. Wanna focus on the exterior. Curious though, have you upgraded the interior of yours? What did it run?
SX trim just adds a few things to a bare bones SR5. The one thing it did not do was push button start and inch display.
I like that it basically deletes all chrome and paints out the front.

Completely agree - Having the sticker removed before it goes in for Ceramic coating!

I wonder what size tires and could fit on those rims? They’re pretty much factory bare bones rims that are painted, so eventually want to replace.

It’s going in for a spray on bed liner, Ceramic coating, and PPF on the front before I even take delivery. That’s all costing me $2400

That leaves 2600 for a lift and tires. I think I can pull that off if I keep the same rims. You think?

Was hoping for some nerf bars/rails too but I might have to wait on that for a month or so.

Look at the bilstein 6112. Keeping the same wheels would put you under $2600.

Thanks for the advice. Are you running the 6112? How much lift did you get? What is your tire? Did you add anything else for your lift? Thanks again!

Tow mirrors. Even if you don’t tow anything, I just like their appearance plus increased visibility.

A lift would be cool too.

The main purpose of this truck is to haul a pontoon. So yes, tow mirrors! What do you have?

I went with Toyota tow mirrors, but a lot of us think that the concave portion of the mirror at the bottom is too narrow.

There are some third party tow mirrors available but I don’t have any experience with them myself.

I have the 6112s but am about to change out for some icons I got last Black Friday. Mine are set at 1.9”. I have the nitto grappler 285/70r18, which is about 34x11.50. I had them on the stock wheels for awhile but dint like the look so I eventually got aftermarket wheels. I also put 5160s on the rear and have the cb +2 shackles.

I’ll probably try to. I never have good luck with selling stuff though. I get a lot of interest but it always falls through. They’ll have 2 years and about 25k when I finally take them off. Some rust from NY winters.

King resi coilovers and shocks are $2400, which would fit in what he was saying, maybe a few hundred bucks short if you include tires and everything else he said. I'd call that super nice.

I’m thinking of a Dobinsons lift down the road. I’ve been reading up a lot here and they seem to keep people happy. Putting a lift on within my 5k budget would probably not be satisfying enough with all the other stuff I want to do.

I vote lift, wheels and tires and a BA exhaust as those were my favorite updates so far. You could also sell those stockies for a decent price.

Right now add in install, upper control arms, alignment, wheels, and tires. Nice 35” tires are going to run quite a bit along with wheels.

Great color choice! Honestly, it drives great as is, so mod what you feel is lacking the most first. For me, I did the easy aesthetics first as I wait for the suspension, wheels & tires.

Man I am BUMMED. So I hadn’t taken delivery yet as I was having the dealership send out to Ziebart for a spray on liner and ceramic coating. Ziebart crashed it!!! Smashed in the right front bumper. Not huge damage, but I’m not paying new truck prices for a recorded damage event. Dealership doesn’t have any more SX’s. Waiting to see if they make this right.....huge discount on a TRD off road or sport, or preferably swap with another dealership for another SX and FREE ceramic coating.
