I'm typically really good with things when it comes to cars/mechanics etc., but have never been able to grasp all the GVRW, GVW, GARW things.
Currently, we have a pop-up that is probably 1850lbs. We are looking at upgrading to a hybrid style camper and it seems like it is still fairly light. Looking at the hitch weight and GVWR, I'm thinking I shouldn't need a WDH?

I understand I need to know the weights once it's loaded with gear, my fat a$$ and my family, etc. all have to account as well. More than likely it's going to be pulled dry.

I'm sure the safe answer is yes.

I second the no. Toyota recommends that trailers over 3500# or so be hooked up with WDH. Your GVWR for the trailer is barely that. Your Tundra should do fine without. You may find that having sway control would be helpful, but most of the sway can be eliminated with proper loading of the trailer to keep the tongue weight above 10% and closer to 15%. The rest of the sway would be wind induced and that trailer is small enough it shouldn't be a big issue.

I'll have to look into that. Thanks for the suggestions.
