I have the Sony 9500 with maestro installed in my stock non-JBL SR5. Right now I am using the factory speakers with the crappy under seat amp. The 9500 is wired to the stock speakers with a harness adaptor on the back. I am planning on putting in a new 5ch. amp.

Can I just use the in/out from the factory under seat amp and adaptors to go in/out of the new amp

    OR

Should I run the RCA outputs from the HU to the new amp and then out to the speakers with the factory am out wires.

The RCA outs on the 9500 HU are only 5w if I remember correctly.

RCA input will sound much better than speaker-level input.
5 watts is pretty good for a low-level HU output, most HU are 4 watts.
It's a bitch to run RCA cables from behind the HU to get into the console, the console to under the seat is the easy part.
You won't need to remove the console, just take the top part off.
You'll see what I mean when you attempt it.

There just isn't much room to run cables from behind the HU to the console..

    qua5hdu6_zpssjqsdutg_aec09726405810b2ba586de47c8b07bdd8676da6.png

The best way would be to remove the dash surround, but it isn't the easiest.
Taking that out requires taking ALL this out.:eek2:

@apwisher has a pretty good idea about going around to the kickplate and sill, I never thought of that.

You'll be fine running the OEM wiring from the amp to the speakers.
Running your own speaker wire to the front doors isn't that hard, but getting to the rear door wire boot is a bitch.
But it was easier since I did it with my sound deadening..:eek2:

    Just make it look nice...

I'd rather do it myself than pay someone top to it.
Do your research on adjusting your amp gains.
The idea is to match the HU output with the amp input.
    Many YouTubes on doing that.

I'd certainly get components for the front doors.
You can add the tweeter to the door sail, or buy JBL door sails and install them.

I think I may have already mentioned, if the dash speakers are too 'in your face' with your new amped speakers, disconnect them.

Unfortunately you’re spoon feeding a dude that will ignore your well thought out post and instead create no less than 10 more threads asking about specific things that have already been covered on this forum ad nauseam.

I guess we can't be all as cool as you and think as highly of ourselves.

One I like the social aspect of the forums and that's partially what it's about. I know some tech people have problems with socializing and talking to real peopl. Next, I like getting more current answers on things versus trying to sort through 10 pages of old posts to find the question that I want.

Naw, man, I know I’m pretty retarded. But I can stick to one thread per topic, and/or search the forum for answers to common questions when I need them.

Since I just saw your edit, I’ll play along. I like the social aspect as well, but it takes two to play that game. Your post history is a bunch of threads of you asking a question, people responding, you coming back to it 3 days later and barely acknowledging anyone’s replies, then starting a new thread on a nearly identical topic. It’s a waste of time for anyone trying to help you. If you actually started threads and maintained a convo within them, sweet. But that’s not how you’ve worked, historically. You can also do the same things in existing threads that are already on topic to your question, along with the added benefit of other people already involved getting a notification that you posted, meaning you’ll more than likely get someone with prior knowledge answering your query.

I’m not really sure why I’m typing this, though, as I’m sure you won’t read the whole thing and will continue making orphan posts all over the place.
