I'm getting ready to install some subs (MTX terminators) in my Tundra. Unfortunately, my head unit is the stock JBL, so there are no RCA outputs. I made wiring plans to use a LOC and splice off the audio signal from the stock rear subs, by my AMP (Rockville dB12) has speaker wire inputs in the back.

My question is: Do I even need the LOC? Can I use the stock sub wires and just feed them into the amp? I am a complete audio newbie so any help is appreciated

    Welcome to the forum.
I don't see that your amp accepts speaker-level inputs.
I think you'll need an LOC.

I see RCA inputs and bypass outputs and then your sub speaker outputs.
I don't see any kind of switch to select RCA or speaker level for the input.

As far as selecting a signal, I'd use the rear speakers to tap into for a cleaner signal and then use the amp's low pass crossover..
I wouldn't trust the JBL amp output to the subs.

    Good luck..

In all honesty, I probably read the description wrong. I'll take the advice on the rear speakers and send those to the LOC instead.
