Wiring new winch

    Hey guy's quick question. 1st time owning a winch and wanted to know should I install a fuse block or just connect directly to the battery? Any info helps. Thanks

    Not necessarily needed, but not a bad idea. The one @vtl listed is more cost friendly or you could go for a blue sea 7713 which allows for switching in the cab but also offers a manual override if things get outta hand

    Use corrugated wire loom, especially on the red cable. Zip tie them along the way, so the cables don't shake, rub against parts of the truck and finally grind through isolation.

    @vtl I like your thinking. I loomed the power and ground cable already. Just left these guys exposed since nothing is rubbing on them.

    I did similar but I have a relay with a switch in there.
