Aftermarket stereo and alarm system w push button start.
Hello everyone, I’m new here and I have a few questions for anybody that can answer. So I have a 2000 Toyota tundra SR5 that I just picked up and the previous owner hooked up an aftermarket stereo system. I’m relatively certain that he didn’t do it correctly. I’ve currently been working on trying to hook up an aftermarket alarm system. Though it has caused my alternator to stop charging the battery, As well as cut power to my blinkers, my windshield wipers, my tachometer, and my speedometer all at the same time. Just as a sidenote, I’d like to add that someone has been messing with my vehicles recently, and I also just recently found out that the cab side of the 120a bolt in alternator fuse had the wire disconnected from it by some a$$hole who thinks he’s being cute. So someone has been tampering with my vehicles for sure. Now I need help identifying the entirety of the charging system in regards to what wires go where and what colors they are. I also need help identifying the wiring for the ignition switch due to the previous owner having no brains, as well as any under dash components that might have been disconnected and stolen, swapped for bad parts, or tampered with recently that could cause the issues to come up simultaneously. What is missing or disconnected and reconnected improperly from the previous owner? Ideally, I’d like to see as many pictures with his as clear of an image Of the color of wires underneath the dash to the ignition switch, in the engine compartment from the battery to the alternator back to the fuse box, as well as the underside of the fuse box in the engine bay that holds relevance to the charging system and ignition system. I already know that there are wiring diagrams out there, many in this forum. However, I am not an automotive electrician, and I don’t know how to read that shit. lol. I also can’t afford to pay someone else to do it for me. At least not after buying this beast. So anyone with any amount of information, Or pictures, or videos and valuable insight I ask very very humbly that you offer your information to me and I will be eternally grateful. Thank you all very much and I look forward to hearing from you.
