We had a mouse invade our tundra a few weeks ago. I was cleaning out the paper and had to remove the cowling under the windshield wipers to vacuum the mess. I found these wires. Anyone have an idea what they are for?

Driver's side? My truck has a heated area at the base of the windshield where the wipers park, along with the side heated mirrors (activated via the same switch). Sometimes, when the windshield is replaced and the need for a heated one isn't mentioned, the install company will just cut the wires from the original and leave them.

Thank you that makes sense. Is there a way to tell if the windshield is the original or even a Toyota replacement?

I think that original windshields actually have "Toyota" printed in one of the lower corners. I think that all the windows do, look at one of the side windows to see what I mean.
