My TRD 25’ did not come with the optional wireless phone charger so decided to grab one I found online at BeatSonicUSA Link below. It took me about an hour to do the install. It Actually took longer as I installed two mods at the same time adding a sound amplifier to the JBL sound system, which by the way sounds way better now! That will be another discussion. Anyways, the install was pretty simple and there is a step by step video that can walk you through every step. I was nervous about ripping apart the center console and head unit but it was easier than I expected. I would have done this during the day but I have a road trip coming come and didn’t want to be pinched on time so started around 10p and finished putting all the parts back close to midnight. Here are some pics below and the link. Enjoy!

I’ve been thinking about doing both of these. Thanks for the feedback.

Great work but ... am I the only one wondering why you decided to still keep that (ugly) regulatory 'data transmission' sticker?

I wonder if this after market one works better than the one from the factory. Mine will charge for a second or two and then stops. The only way it works is if I remove the case (I've tried several cases too but none work). Do these aftermarket one have more power?

This is why I decided to with this brand after digging around. I was doing research on the OEM charger and other people had similar issues where the charging was NOT consistent. Especially if you were going over bumps or when the phone would move or slide. Is the OEM platform plastic? After I did the install, I put two phones together and charged pretty well. Also, they have a rubber foam padding that helps prevent sliding or abrupt movements. I am going on a trip this weekend so I will see how it holds up on the road or over bumps. I will let you know... Stay tuned!

    Looks good!

Do you know if the version you installed has a fan on the back? I read somewhere that they were coming out with a new version that included a fan...holding off on doing this mod until they release that version. I guess the oem single charger has a fan on the back, so wanting the same.

You know what... I did not even think to check. I will be getting back there again anyways to install a Binize streaming AI box and mount it inside the console once I get one.

Gotcha. Yeah, will be curious to hear about your experiences on your trip. I have an iPhone 13 and the camera sticks out a good bit, which I think makes the charger lose connection with the slightest bump. It's basically unusable, because even if you take the cover off it still slides around a lot.

Great install OP! I am sure that kit and the others I've seen on the forum work well. I wanted to create my own and did combo of designed and 3D printed some parts and used a Belkin mag charger for my magsafe case on my iPhone. It works great and charges fast.

I think it’s a crime that vehicle mfgs don’t use MagSafe.

I use an otterbox symmetry series case on the 16pro and mine charges fine in the 2025. It’s not a fast charger at all, but it charges slowly while using CarPlay/nav
