I can't find any definitive answers on this. I have a 2020 Limited CM, and use Android Auto daily, but corded. Toyota's website and Google both say that the 2020 should be capable of WIRELESS Android Auto, but I can't pull it up without being connected via USB.

Anyone have any idea if it's possible or what the solution is?

I've just used corded. Very interested to hear the answer.

According to Google, it is supposed to work with the Tundra JBL system. However, I've been trying since I got mine in August and remain corded as well. I'm giving up and upgrading to a new HU that supports Android wireless out of the box.

Not sure where the info about standard wireless CarPlay, android auto came from, but this is directly from Toyota’s owners manual website.

Just checked Google, and they have removed the reference to being wireless compatible. It only states that Android Auto is compatible with 2020+ on the Tundra. At one point, the website not only stated that it was wireless compatible, but also gave instructions on how to set up the wireless function.

As I said, if you want wireless, then replacing the HU is one option, but someone also is producing a dongle that is supposed to work pretty well with wireless. Just one more wire or contraption to keep up with IMO. Considering the quality of the JBL system in my TRD, I'm more inclined to just preplace the entire system and get a better sounding system with wireless.
