Cleaning my windshield with the wiper blades up (and glasses on) I noticed heater pads in the windshield at the wiper blades’ park location. So cool!! Have seen them for decades on luxury cars but not on a truck. Will be helpful on those frosty nights I forget to leave the wipers up. Apparently the heated side mirror control heats them up. Wonder if aftermarket windshields offer that. May be a good reason to go OEM as well as the sound deadening.

My '12 LE and '19 ORP 4Runners had them as standard.

There's no need to put your wipers up for snow or ice if you start the vehicle and turn on the defroster before scraping and wiping all your windows. You do that, right? Even when I lived in Maine and had to use a shovel (or sometimes a baseball bat) to literally hit the ice off the driver's door to get into it to start it, I never put the blades up.

Good to know. I see you’ve got a ‘23, nice truck. Anyone know if that feature is on the 21’s? I have not taken delivery of my TRD Pro yet. Since going to school in Buffalo, NY, 40 yrs. ago, I’ve always done the wiper flip when snow was inbound.

Yes, the 2nd gen's have that feature was well. If you look under the blades, you'll see the defroster coils in the glass. I'm not sure if it's only a feature in northern climate trucks, though...
