Got any tips for changing oil in the winter? Hopefully it’ll get up to 20 degrees tomorrow, I’ll start the truck up for a bit to warm the sludge.

I’ve thought about taking it in, but I’ve already got my oil/filter and don’t want any issues before a 5 hour trip Monday.

Dress warm. Have coffee. Mine is due in about three weeks. I always let it idle for about 5-10 minutes before I dump the pan.

That sounds pretty on par with my thoughts.

Keep the new oil in the house to keep it warm and make it easier to pour, other than that, enjoy.

Do you have one of those propane heaters? Northern tool, harbor freight has some that throw out good heat and don't cost much.

Great idea. I’ll go bring it in now.

I don’t have one, but could probably use one in the shop :monocle:

Dressing warm... and just making sure you have everything there with you while you do it.
