My daughter's wipers don't work in her tree. Thank you @BubbaW for the schematics, but with the engine off and testing I could actually hear the motor running.

So what's next? Pull the cowl? Pull the motor and check the wiper transmission?

Is it possible to check the linkage without the cowl off on the tree?

A few years ago my wipers started acting up like parking in the wrong spot and being movable by hand. The OEM design has nylon bushings that are not replaceable. If you pull the cowl cover you can see the transmission mechanism. I bought an aftermarket one from the Rock. Hardest part is getting the motor arm correctly orient so wipers park at correct spot. Also suggest new nylon grommets as they get brittle. Almost all of those little plastic balls brok off. Also good time to do the cowl leak fix or prevention.

There is. The part I got from Rock Auto was threaded so the OEM bolts screwed into it without mods
