All 4 of my windows on my 24’ hop like crazy when they are wet and going down. I had a 22’ Tundra and it was nothing like this. Does anyone else have this problem? I’m hoping it’s just tighter seals because I don’t have any wind noise and that’s a trade off I’m ok with. Just don’t want to have an issue down the road

I have this happen on mine. Mostly on driver and rear driver side and always happens when it’s rained a bit. I was planning on telling the dealership at the next oil change.

There are various posts here that talk to it. I believe the windows on some of our rigs are a bit loose from factory.

It’s the window seal, a little silicone on the bottom door seal will fix it. Toyota knows about it, dealer should handle it. They have done mine twice.

Interesting, I thought I was seeing things - mine has the same issue - it's bad enough that the 'hopping' actually interrupts the auto-down feature..

I reported it twice, the second time, the tech could duplicate it. They "fixed" it by cleaning the window wipers. And, of my clean truck ! ? !

I believe it is weak motors. Mine had actually stopped a couple times, requiring me to let go of the switch and push down again. I am sure it was for a thermal reset. Just my drivers door and going down.

A little bit of silicone spray in the channels worked for me.

Did you have to take the door panels off or did you just stick the spray in the left and right side of the window channel? Any issues with streaking from the silicone?

I don't take the panels off. Streaking is not an issue as long as you don't overdo it and use a spray can with one of those red tubes.

It happened to me on my 23. Caused my passenger window motor to fail. Dealer replaced the motor and lubed up all of the channels. Problem has since gone away.

it has happened on all 4 of my windows. Passenger front got a new window run and that fixed it. Driver's rear got the same and it did not fix it. The ordered a new motor and that did the trick. I think the dealer write up said something like window run being tight caused the motor to become damaged/loose or something like that.
