Anyone mount a heavier steel bumper + winch to the front of their stock truck? Most of the one's I am considering are in the 150-160# range + the weight of a winch. I can't imagine the front sinking any lower than it currently is and wondering if I will have to upgrade the suspension to do this. I plan to eventually, but not in the short term.

So you could get a stiffer spring setup on your front shocks to account for the extra weight. Not sure the cost but would be cheaper than a whole new suspension.

Check the build link in my signature.
You have the TRD Off Road or just bone stock base suspension? I don’t even know if the springs are different between those two (obviously shocks are).

Mine has the TRD Off road suspension. I was talking to a guy about adding a set of Bilstein 6112s and he said there is really only one spring rate used on most of the full size trucks. He recommended setting the height at 2.5 and with the weight of this it would settle out around the 1.9 height most likely.
