So I've talked with the tuner from PR and he said that he can tune the 18 and beyond. He often travels to Miami and Orlando, and was wondering if anyone has used him before. A very good friend of mine went to high school with him and has his Taco tuned and showed me dyno graphs from before and after. He was going for MPG increase and I saw the target afrs change from 14.7 to 12.6-12.7 and he said that his MPG did indeed go up.

I was wondering if anyone has used him or heard of others that have used him.

This would be cool if it works. Im not sure what you saw on the AFR change. AFR below stoichmetric 14.7 is running more rich. Usually during WOT and higher RPM the tune would add a bit more fuel on the top end. Having tuned a lot of boosted vehicles in the past Tuner imports mostly. I would run the closed loop and low timing around 16 a bit lean for MPG. And once WOT the fuel tip in would adjust to 12.5 to 12 at the higher end. Depending on fuel type and grade you can really do some interesting changes

Dirtydeeds I'm not sure. From the little I know he spends big money on some key to tune all these different vehicles. I'm wondering if anyone has tried him before.

Cement_TRD everything I know from tuning and from what people have told me it's that at WOT the magic area is around 12.6 or so NA. I know that with some Silverados you can use HPTuners and turn off a time delay that holds the AFR Target to 14.7 until a few thresholds have been met. By setting your AFR to 12.6 you're getting the most power that you can, and nowm power to move the same weight a given distance equals more efficiency (in a perfect world). He's the video, it's around the 5:30 time talking about enrichment. https://youtu.be/xb-OxiP3Iy8
