I have the Pro Comp Stage 1 lift. When I bought the truck I thought it was a 6" Stage 1 but after researching it, the front seems to be a 7". The rear has always sat lower than the front. The rear has a 3" block with the Pro Comp Add a leaf.

I just ordered King 2.5's for the Pro Comp 6" lift. King says that the coil overs are adjustable from 6 to 7 " in the front.

As for the rear, I just ordered an Alcan custom leaf spring for 7" of lift. Will my rear 2.5s work with the extra inch of lift or should I call Alcan back and get them made for a 6" instead. My rear sags like hell already with any amount of weight anyway.

    What do the experts think?

My opinion here- I think you will be fine, no issue with that one inch. Now if the shocks were one inch too long- that would be another story as they could bottom out when fully compressed since they are "too long" for the application.

You may lose a little droop in the rear suspension, but you would only notice that in heavy off road situations. I think you are good. As an example, folks run 5160 in the rear which are for 0-1 inch lift, with 1.5 to 2 inch rear lift via block, shackle, add a leaf.

So- my thought is 1 inch short would work fine, but a shock that is longer than your lift application could eventually be an issue since the shock has more "travel" than the suspension.
