Will police radar set off the brake alarm?

I just bought my first Tundra "Quicksand TRD CM" 2 weeks ago. Traded in a 2010 F150 Lariat. It apparently came with rust from the factory. The cab corners and both painted bumpers started rusting at 5 years old. By the time I traded the corners were about to fall out. So far I'm impressed. The 5.7 is a beast. I don't mind feeding it and to be quite frank, so far the mpg is just 2 below the 5.4. I just rolled past 1000 miles last night. I've been lurking on this site for about a month and love all the info. My question is will police radar set off the brake alarm? This morning I was coming into town running about 43 in a 35. The red brake light and buzzer came on for maybe a second. I did notice I had just met an unmarked police car. Scared the crap out of me!

Welcome from CO! Not sure what frequency could set off that alarm but if the LEO radar's frequency was within the frequency band to set off the alarm.....could be possible I guess.

I find in situations where the road curves with signs, trees, guardrails, or barriers, it sees them as obstacles in the way. I also have this happen when passing large vehicles where a sign, guardrail, or barrier pops up on the other side. Basically choke points will set it off.

Somewhat related. My buddy has a fairly high end radar/laser/speed detector in his truck. Adaptive Cruise Control and other safety/autonomous systems on modern vehicles set it off constantly, both on coming and passing. It doesn't even make sense to have it on anymore with the amount of frequencies and signals flying through the air these days.

Hmm, I have an Escort 9500ix that is ~4 years old and do not experience very many false alarms with it in Hwy mode. That being said, there are a lot of reasons it goes off other than police radar. Most automatic doors use X band radar.

Not to hijack the post, but if that is a Valentine One, send it in for the upgrade, well worth it, and will return it to worthy use.

I've had the BRAKE message show up a couple times without there being anything around. I'm waiting for one more time to confirm, but I think it might be a specific section of road combined with time of day. I don't have enough data points yet to be conclusive.

Kinda just skimmed so far, sorry if this was already asked.

If this is something to do with interference of some sort, have you ruled out all of(if any) devices of your own in or mounted to your truck yet?

Could you see cross-traffic from the road below you? Mine went off once when I was going under an overpass with a semi crossing above me—it just briefly went off so I assumed it recognized the semi as possible cross-traffic.
