Should I go bigger on the tires? Does anybody have a picture to help me make a decision?

Might look a little light footed. 3 inches is a lot to bring up the front and then put tires that some guys run with stock suspension.

295/70r18.... don’t look back. 275/70r18 just doesn’t fill the wheel well enough and looks a bit small. People run that size with no lift in the front.

EDIT: any tire size that is closer to a 35” will keep you happier.

Any rubbing? I’m leveled and am thinking RG since it’s one of the only Tires in that size.

No rubbing, but did a little trimming skidplate/fenderwell before tires/wheels were actually installed. I'm running +25 Ray 10's also though.

That’s the offset I’m running. I have a RCI skid so perhaps I won’t need to trim it.

I’ve seen some setups that have 3” front lift with 275/70 and they look good. Others haven’t. I swear it’s an optical illusion sometimes lol. I’ve gone back and forth but once I put a 2” or 2.5” lift on mine I will be going with 285/70. Slightly taller, definitely wider, but the weight between a 275/70 and 285/70 Nitto Ridge Grappler is less than 1 pound. So same weight but more meat!

The guy here at Extreme Truck mentioned something about my stock 18” rims on why they suggest the 275/70, I’ll call and ask again about the 285/70 to make sure it won’t be an issue for whatever reason I would love to go bigger

275/70 is your safest bet against rubbing. There’s also more options in 275/70 than the other sizes plus 275/70 is usually a lighter tire. That said, I plan on doing 1” wheel spacers to eliminate any rubbing the 285/70 may have. But I’ve seen plenty of TRD PRO and 2” leveled Tundras running 285/70 tires without rubbing.

Here are some reference pics of members’ trucks I’ve saved for my own comparing. I can’t tag them because I don’t remember who they all are but I’ve identified the lift and tire size.

Thanks gupster88, I really want to go with the 285/70, I’ll ask about doing a wheel spacer if needed. I figured this company knows what they are doing and hopefully is pointing me in the right direction/looking out for me. But I really don’t want tire envy either......

I run 285/70/18's (Ridge Grapplers) on a 3/2 lift on a 0 offset. The 275/70 will look too small. These pics are the 3/2 with 275/70/18's.

Looks good! I think the problem I might have are the stock 18” rims and the offset. I’ll double check with the company to make sure

Besides the actual measurements, is there any reason why people do the 3"/1" lift versus the 3"/2"? I'm currently trying to figure out what set up I want. My stock Tundra sits about 2.5" higher in the back. I'd get whatever tire size that wouldn't require trimming.

Some trucks sit level with the 3/1 and some sit level with the 3/2. Don't go with a spacer lift. For the lower budget price range if you're looking to level, the Bilstein 5100's are popular.

I was unhappy with 275/70r18. I ran this size stock, looked small once lifted. Now at 285/75r18 on stock rims, and already dreaming of fatter 35’s, or maybe the 285/75r18 on a +25 rim. Getting the cmc done soon just in case. Also I do feel like off-road obstacles are easier with the larger tire.

I'm wondering about using wheel spacers.....I have a practically brand new set of Spidertrax in the garage. I used them for a month or so before I went to the 0 offset.

Minor on the sway bar at full lock (can only tell because paint is missing from it, cannot feel it)
Removed front spats. Would have had to do a lot more trimming/massaging with wheel spacers or aftermarket wheels. I tried spacers and returned them.

All depends on what You want! 275s aren't bad but everyone always wishes they went bigger. You don't have to spend much time on here to see that reality. I would go 295 and do what you have to to make them fit, you won't be sorry. The pic is 3/1 275 70 1820200301_112952.jpg

I'm dead set determined to get 295/70r18's with a +12 wheel to fit on mine with only 5100's set on the middle perch. I have coachbuilder shims waiting to go on in case but I see guys with stock TRD PRO'S put 295' on stock wheels with no trimming. I ordered relentless fab BMC's b/c of my offset so I will most likely have to do that to get them on with no rub. My truck already had the whole front flap and interior splash guards removed when i bought it.
