I don't think the Auto LSD activates at all until you push button as evidenced by how my truck spins and slides so much in the rain to the point that traction control can't keep up. When I engage the Auto LSD which I believe also deactivates traction control, I get much less wheel spin in slippery conditions. So why doesn't Toyota leave Auto LSD on all the time?

Why are you spinning and sliding so much in the rain? Really heavy foot or bald tires?

I have very good tires but a heavy foot. I guess I'm used to driving Chevrolets with limited slip.

I do stand corrected though according to this video. Apparently Auto LSD is always on but you don't accelerate much due to traction control. I'm not sure I believe that because my truck has slid quite a lot when accelerating above 30 mph. I'll do some testing of my own and video the results.

I have notice the tundra slips around more in the rain than my Tacoma did. My tires only have about 5k miles on them so definitely not the problem. But I do have a heavier foot than most and the added power of the tundra over the Tacoma is probably the problem for me.
