Why hasn't this Tundra sold? Follow up question about the exhaust...

Thanks for the great responses to earlier post. No one seemed to mention the dual exhaust. Can I assume the benefit is negligible?

(Sorry if it's rude to create a new thread...don't know how forums worked and didn't want the follow on question to get buried)

I'm still figuring out the different packages and options on Tundras and I can't understand why some Tundras get snatched up immediately and others don't. I drove this one today and here are the noteworthy options/info:

    $39,900
    2018 SR5 Doublecab w/ FFV
    39K miles
    TRD Off road pkg
    Dual exhaust
    38 gallon fuel tank
    Lane departure system
    Pre-collision system
    Dynamic radar cruise control
    Undercarriage coating for rust prevention
    Spray in bedliner
    Bed rails

It's certified, so it will have 7 yrs/100K drivetrain warranty. It's in beautiful shape...exterior is 9.5/10, interior is 8/10. Non smoker vehicle.

The salesman says he thinks they've had it about a month, but the manager has been driving it. Does that mean that they just haven't had it listed so he had a car to drive? (May seem like a dumb question, but I haven't bought a car from a dealer in many years, so I don't know how they operate)

Or...is there something about this color/option combination that are turning people off? I would think this would be a very desirable truck for buyers. The price is very much in line with other new/used Tundras I've looked at.

Sir, If the truck is to your liking you better snag it at that price. In my area 2018/2019 SR5’s are going for 50-52K. The market is crazy right now and the pickings are slim it seems. Could vary region to region.

The three things that are a turn off where I’m at is color, double cab, and being a flex fuel. That being said, if you like the red, don’t need the space of a crewmax the CPO warranty would make me feel better about the FFV.

Some just fall through the crack, if it's what you are looking for, you should buy it.

There was one near me that sat for a long time, great price. I had eyeballed it a few times before I was serious. Finally took a stab at it... RWD only. Basically useless 6 months out of the year where I live.

I’ve had a red truck before, not my first choice, but I drove it for many years. Actually the color never bothered me.

My guess is the FFV or undercoating are scaring some folks off, they can be problematic I hear. Myself, I have no idea about the FFV. If the undercoat is one of the goopy plastic coatings and not a thin fluid sort, that could be an issue. Where has the truck been? Rust belt rigs could be a concern.

I drive my rigs 250k+, so a 100k warrantee helps (I bought one) but probably not enough to go FFV or the wrong undercoating. Less is more to me in most things. But I do like some of the added comforts on my 19 Tundra vs my 05 Sequoia, but wishing I knew about the tranny cooler bait and switch on the 19 as I tow. The 18 should have the dedicated cooler. The price does look VG, double check the title is clean? Good luck!

I'm guessing color is the thing, but no idea why that is still there even if was pink!
