Who is the greatest James Bond 007 of all time?

    What's your favorite Bond movie?

I'm a sucker for Roger Moore, followed by Sean Connery, Pierce Brosnan and lastly Timothy Dalton. The others are trash IMHO.

My favorite Bond movie of all time is Live & Let Die.

My favorite Bond theme song is Goldfinger.

My favorite Bond girl is Anya Amasova AKA Triple X from The Spy Who Loved Me.

My favorite Bond henchman is a tie between Jaws (The Spy Who Loved Me & Moonraker) and Xenia Onnatop (GoldenEye).

My favorite Bond villain is Hugo Drax (Moonraker).

I've never read any of the Ian Flemming novels. But I think I might sooner than later.

Connery for me. Probably Goldfinger for my favourite movie, though all his are good except Diamonds are Forever.

Favourite song would be Live and Let Die, You Know My Name (Casino Royale) or Skyfall.

Favourite car? Hard to decide but I probably have to go with the DB5. Definitely not any of the Fords or AMCs Moore drove in his first two movies.

    For me the order is:
Connery (all good except Diamonds are Forever)
Moore (all campy but decent except A View to a Kill)
Craig (I like half of his movies I've seen)
Dalton (Living Daylights was good, License to Kill was terrible)
Brosnan (who can drive through an entire enemy base in a tank and not kill a single person?)
Lazenby (I couldn't even get through On Her Majesty's Secret Service)

I really like the books. I actually like the movies a little less after having read the books.

I had a feeling Connery would take the lead, but I'm surprised how big the gap is between Connery and Moore.

What's your beef with Diamond Are Forever?

Did you like Never Say Never Again better?

I love the AMCs and Mustangs Moore drove haha

Historically, my favorite was Connery. But my wife says I look like Pierce Brosnan so I'm good with that. There are several movies, by various Bonds, that I liked. I think Dalton was the worst Bond. Daniel Craig has been a victim of more culture-influenced writing, though I really liked Skyfall.

Mostly that it was so cheesy. It definitely had that 70s campiness about it. Also, the book version was really good and they just deviated too far from it in my opinion.

I only watched Never Say Never once so I don't remember it well enough.

NSNA was just a crappier remake of Thunderball. I'll watch DaF over either of those any day.

I always felt like Daniel Craig looked like a better Bond villain than as James Bond.

I do like Sean Connery a lot too, but to me Pierce Brosnan just feels better suited. His acting feels on par with how I imagine his character would be in real life.

Sean Connery feels more like an armchair casino gang drinking vodka martinis.

Btw, anyone seen survivor where brosnan is the villain? Epic. I was kinda pulling for him in that one:rofl:Also, November man was excellent!

I dunno gang, I just like him a lot.

I've pondered this question many times over the years. I feel people's answers are usually based on what Bond movie got them interested in the franchise. That's the only explanation as to why anyone would pick Pierce Brosnan.

GoldenEye was my intro to Bond.

But thanks to TBS running the 13 Days of 007 marathon every December, when I was a kid, Roger Moore is my definitive James Bond.

I still have a soft spot for Brosnan though. GoldenEye was revolutionary in video gaming as well as rejuvenated the franchise.

My starting movie was never say never again. It actually didn't even have 007 on the VHS box. I was puzzled.

Are you saying Brosnan can't act 007?

I'm torn between Connery and Moore, as that was James Bond when I was a kid. Connery wins though.

Connery then Moore for me. Fav Connery movie was the one that started it all, Dr. No, then Goldfinger. Fav Moore movie is Live and Let Die, then The Spy Who Loved Me.

    Thunderball was awesome.

I read somewhere that the underwater battle at the end of Thunderball was the most violent scene in a Bond movie until the stairwell scene in Casino Royale.

I have the box set on bluray. I think it's the old box set though, so it's missing one or two Daniel Craig movies... I couldn't care less. Lol

I've seen Casino Royale once or twice and that's about it for Daniel Craig.
The camera is too shaky and it constantly cuts back and forth. I hate the cinematography of those new Bond films. They make me sick.

Roger Moore FTW! Connery is more of a pompous Sasquatch with a BB pistol than the suave undercover secret agent of Roger Moore.

Jaws is the best henchman, second being OddJob cuz he can kill you with his hat. Or his shoe. By throwing them at you. And I’ve had plenty of shoes thrown my way.

Favorite movie is Skyfall. WHHHUUT?!? Yup, stuff blows up and my house shakes. But I like most that is portrays much of the old school 007 stuff rather than some of the high tech gizmos that takes away some of the brains, skill, and resourcefulness of what makes a spy a spy. Sometimes, the old ways are the good ways.

Villain… hmmm. Tough one. I’ll have to think about it. But I can’t stand Emilio Esteves Blofeld or whatever his name is in Spectre, though I wish the back sorry with him and Bond was a little less on the nose. ‘I’m your long lost adopted brother! It wasn’t me, it was the one armed-man!’

WORST 007 film - whatever that garbage one was they is the most recent one; the one where Daniel Craig is on the cover trying to impersonate Derek Zoolander’s Blue Steel. I seriously thought the cover was a joke, then realized that’s really what they did. Felt the same way about the movie. Didn’t enjoy it at all, despite the walls occasionally shaking.
