Who here has installed a Rockford (p3s or prime, same size enclosure) 1x12 sub in their tundra?

Hey everyone I got one of these for cheap from a friend and for the life of me I cannot make it fit with the seat rails all the way down. I am hoping to power it with my kicker amp.

There’s about 10 reviews online between different sites from people saying they installed this and it worked great. So I’m hoping there’s at least one of you here.

So I am hoping to hear from someone that installed this and how they did it. I have pulled back the mat and it makes no difference the seat will not sit flat. The seats rest against the top of the speaker. I have positioned the speaker behind the driver’s rear seat between the seat rails (the only place I can make it fit). I have not tried behind the passenger’s because of the jack bag.

I don’t want to install it and have the seats not fully seated. So if you’ve installed this unit I will be grateful to hear how you did it.

It's most likely not going to fit anywhere as it wasn't designed to fit the Tundra.

I do realize that but since I found reviews stating it fits I figured someone might chime in. Found some quick ones for reference. I guess I am wondering if someone just ignored that the rear seat wouldn’t sit flush or had a workaround of some type.

Yes, it will fit. I had it as my original enclosure before I built a new one. I put it as far as it would go to the passenger side after removing the jack assembly. This is what I ordered, and it’s the same enclosure. Place the woofer in the center of the seat.

Thanks @BlueRibbon4x4! Did you have to cut or bend anything? The jack bag thing has that tab that sticks up so I am wondering if you bent it or cut it or if it was able to sit on top of that tab.

Hmm, I honestly can’t remember. I do seem to remember masking that area off, maybe to cut something off with a grinder or something. But now that you mention it I remember the box sitting lopsided until I made some type of modification to the mount. But for sure it wasn’t too crazy of a modification.

Thanks for the input. I didn’t want a dual sub setup but it’s really hard to find a single sub box that will fit in the tundra crewmax. Luckily I got one for cheap.
