I've been preparing the ol 2000 Tundra for a trip to Texas, from California and I knew replacing the spare is something most overlook when owning a 25 year old truck. The production date on my spare read "229" meaning 22th week of 1999. That begs the question, who has the oldest spare tire? The following photos are of my original spare and after with fresh rubber and valve stem.

Whenever I get a set of new tires I have the best old tire put on the spare. Current spare is from 2016

Mine isn’t as old, just nasty. Still usable as long as I put air in it as it’s got a slow leak.

She's beautiful! So stiff and hard, practically zero rolling resistance! Imagine the MPGs!!

Texas is full. We are no longer accepting applications from California. Our sincerest apologies. :D

Damn..!!! I sold my 2000 Tundra, which I bought new… to my wife’s uncle in 2015. He still has it, and I’ll almost guarantee it’s still got the original Grand Trek spare under the bed. When I owned the truck used to drop it every couple years and check the pressure on it but that’s it.
