In early December, we made a deposit in Ontario, Canada on a smoked mesquite 1794 with a 6.5’ box. We were originally told to expect delivery in late March or early April. In early April, the dealer was still waiting for the allocation but told us “likely delivery in July”. By May, we knew not to expect a truck in July. We are still waiting with no further word.
I know there are many reasons why trucks are not being delivered but it is certainly frustrating.
How long have others been waiting?

Hi MMsyrup! I have also been waiting since December. I hope that you get your 1794 soon!! It will be amazing in the smoked mesquite w/6.5' bed. I've been told that b/c I'm requesting a Lunar Rock Limited Crewmax also with 6.5' bed, that there are very few of them being made. I am not sure if this is true. Yesterday I visited with a perfect truck (Lunar Rock Limited w/6.5 bed) however it was a double cab, I was struck by how incredibly cramped the double cab legroom is! Not to hijack this thread MM, but if anyone has any leads (in the US) on Lunar Rock Limited Crewmax 6.5' bed TRD Offroad package pls LMK. I'm concerned my deposit is just going to continue to sit there permanently. Great thanks! -taiko

    Welcome to the forum..
Hopefully, nothing will go wrong with your 2022 once it arrives.
If you think the wait is long getting the truck, just wait until it needs parts..:eek2:

I'd strongly recommend getting a catalytic converter shield no matter where you live.
    Good luck...

Indeed, the “benefit” of having to wait is that perhaps any remaining issues will get resolved.

Deposit down 22 limited TRD 6.5 bed.

    Same boat as you.
Ontario. Mid December put a deposit down. Limited crewmax TRD 6.5. Told mid July. But when I called a month ago, I couldn't get a good answer. Just that I was near the top of the list.

Was also told that they sold all their 2022s and 2023s.

We were offered a white platinum in late April if we wanted it. Someone had backed out and we were the closest match in terms of requests. We turned down the offer but in hindsight, I wish we had taken it and remained on the list for the 1794. When the 1794 came in, we could likely have sold the platinum for close to what we had paid. Hindsight is 20/20.

I’m placing a deposit next week on a Platinum advance package with the plan of needing to take delivery in April 2023 when my current lease is due. I’m in Ontario as well. Dealer has told me that, the timeline will have no issues (we shall see). He offered me MGM Capstone that was arriving in August that was unsold. I turned it down. Maybe that would be an option for you OP

I’m hopeful for you. Let us know how it works out for you.

    Interesting!
I put a deposit down in May for a Lunar Rock Limited Crew Max TRD Off Road 6.5 bed. Supposed to have been here July 8 but just received notice it’s pushed back to July 15-19.

I don't know if this counts, but I'm in Alberta, name on a list in August 2021 (before official release) and confirmed what I wanted around November or December. I'm waiting for a TRD Pro and the latest update earlier in June was a September delivery (started at August, delayed to November, then moved up to September).

Same boat here! Ordered and put deposit on 1794 TRD off road 5 5 bed on Dec 2nd. Got pushed back twice with built date in May. Supposed to get delivery in late June/early July but dealer as of 2 wks ago has no idea of my status. Esp sucks since interest rates are rising. Hope msrp goes down. Doubt it but one can only hope. At least I hope the later I receive truck the more issues can be resolved! Waiting everyday for THE call.

Our dealer actually has a demo on the lot which we were able to test drive. I love the foot room in the front passenger compartment among other things. Don’t know why they won’t sell it but that’s what they told me.

Lol. Capstone is the tippy top trim level. MGM is magnetic grey metallic. The fastest color.

I put a deposit down for a platinum hybrid in December and am on the waiting list at two dealers. That said, not many hybrids have been made yet so not the same boat as guys still waiting on the regular drivetrain.

I got lucky with a 2 month wait for mine. But I can see some waiting for months on their Tundra, specially with the port holds now.

The allocation process seems pretty random. We were told we were “next” back in April.

Y'all got me beat. I put a deposit down in February. As of 2 weeks ago, it was officially in the dealer's pipeline and had a 6 - 8 week delivery timeline. It's not one of the high trim models though which seem to have longer delays. Mine is a crewmax SR5 TRD Off Road.

Cross the border and look on the west coast. You’ll find one quicker.

If anyone wants double cab. I've been calling all over Canada and some have double cabs. Can't remember which ones. Possibly alberta, maybe Saskatchewan. My needs are for a crewmax.

I'm in the U.S. - state of Georgia. My deposit for 1794 4x4 WCP (Wind Chill Pearl) with Advanced package made March 14th. Still waiting. My dealer had a 1794 black hybrid with cream interior they offered me about a month ago but I passed and have no regrets doing so. Like others have said on the forum, the 1794 trim seem to have a longer wait time for unknown reasons.

I was told by a Toyota sales person a couple of weeks ago ... "If your truck doesn’t get built by November, it will likely be a 2023 model. Normally vehicles that are built past October will be classified as the next year model." Hope that helps?

Here’s a question: do the dealers know what their allocations will be for the year (or quarter or whatever)? If so they should sell what is coming in. I’ll be quite upset if they know. Would have bought what they ‘have.’

I’ve had a deposit since First week in January in Ontario Canada. I’m apparently “first in line” for my build. Black limited crew max.

A few months ago, my dealer said they predicted they would be allocated 40 Tundras this year.

After a prompt, I received the following update from my dealer:
“Our sales manager was in contact with head office to inquire about
your truck. They said that you are number 15 in Canada for your
configuration of Tundra [1794, long box, smoked mesquite]. It was indicated that based upon current production
status we will likely be allocated your Tundra in the next 30 to 60 days.
This however means we would expect your Tundra to arrive in 4 to 6 months.”
So, that means we will be waiting from 11 to 13 months from deposit to delivery. Of course, that is barring further recalls, shortages, border closings… Sure do miss having a truck.
In their favour, we were offered the use of their sales manager’s older Tundra for a day of two to run errands.
