Ok, I’m looking to install bed stiffeners for the Tundra.

What brand did you use? And if you installed yourself, was it easy to do so? And of course any pics in your bed would be great! (Of the stiffener!). I guess have to be specific about that

Oh any if there’s any issue with putting it over linex!

I saw that on Amazon. Looks perfect and lines up with existing holes?

And if I had to drill a tad should I use some Por15 on the edges?

TC here too. You have to drill a couple holes and several mounting holes utilize factory locations. No problem installing over Linex. I didn't worry about touching up paint to prevent rust.

Why would you need bed stiffness for? How does it help?

An RTT on bed racks will push the bed sides apart. My bed sides were moving outward before I put the RTT on. You can see the gap between the tail gate and bed sides widening. The TC stiffeners tightened it up again.

Super easy install. Bolts in using factory hardware and requires 3 new holes per side. They include grade 8 hardware for the new holes.

We'd love to get a set of TOTAL CHAOS Bed Stiffeners on your ride!

These bolt in using a combination of factory hardware and included hardware from us. Install shouldn't take more than 30-45 minutes if you're taking your time.

    Installation Instructions

Bailey posted pics with Linex. These will go right in without issues. Please let us know if you have more questions or would like to order.

If I'm running the Leitner bed rack, (picking it up next week!) the bed stiffener would just be overkill for me huh?

It wouldn't be overkill, it's actually highly recommended to run Bed Stiffeners with a bed rack.

Over time the sheet metal channels in the bed can crack causing poor tailgate alignment and possibly damage to your lights. We reinforce the rear bed channels at the tailgate which is ideal for preventing bed flex and avoiding issues that come along with it.

If you're running a camper shell, bed rack, or just putting your truck through serious off-road abuse then you should consider Bed Stiffeners for your Tundra.

The Tundra frame still flexes a lot, but I did notice a slight difference with the stiffeners installed.

Has anyone been able to install bed stiffeners and a swing case? The brackets for both mount in about the same location - just not sure how to modify the swing case bracket.

Based on photos I've seen, there shouldn't be any interference. Our stiffeners don't stick very far into the bed area. You can install them and have full use of the bed slide.

    2007_0707FirstShots0045.jpg

Here you can see the two bed bolts exposed. Our stiffeners attach directly to them and maintain a low profile.
