Looking at adding a wireless car play dongle to my Tundra and the GX.
What dongles are you using that work well and that you would recommend?

My 23 GX just stopped allowing us to respond Voice to Text and the work around is using Apple Car Play or to have Siri respond. All other Mic functions work, just not the Speech to text.

Motorola MA1 wireless. No issues at all after 3 years. Amazon and Best Buy carries it.

Been using the CarLinkIt 3.0 system for 2 years with the stealth install without issue. There may be newer versions now. Purchased on Amazon for around or just less than $100.

I had the 2.0 and it was a little buggy. I have heard that the 3.0+ made some big improvements to stability.

I have the 3.0, and would still describe it as a little buggy. I’m not sure whether the issue is my factory head unit or the carlinkit. When it fails, I get two errors on the head unit in succession, and it works fine after the head unit reboots. Both are at the latest firmware and it hasn’t changed over the various updates. Point being, reliable wireless CarPlay may not be possible without an aftermarket head unit.

The 5.0 works much better than the 3.0, at least in my experience. But yes, none of them are great vs having built-in wireless.

I ran one of these on my Rams and always had "interference issues" they claimed. Anyone run into that? Im going to do a full head unit since I have a 2017 but after my last experience with these things I have little interest in them

    Thanks for the responses guys.
It seems like these can be finicky at times so I may just need to try some that have been recommended and see what happens. I guess as long as they are "prime" I can return them pretty easily if they don't work 100%.
