Hello everyone! First time poster/new member!

I'm going to be placing an order for my very first Toyota this Friday on the 8th, and I'll be ordering the Tundra (Obviously) lol

Here is what I want: (UPDATE)

    CrewMax
    4 x 2 or 4 x 4
    5.5' Bed
    Limited Power Package
    Softex Seats

Panoramic Roof (Want, but not a deal breaker)
COLORS: Supersonic Red, Magnetic Gray, or Celestial Silver

PMV Monitor (Not a deal breaker)

So I know I need a Limited, but my zip code only allows me to Add a Panoramic Roof OR Limited Power Package. Not BOTH.

it all boils down to how much you are willing to spend$$$

I will say one thing, I would skip 2wd and get a 4x4.

I agree, but if I can knock off a few thousand and still get everything I want, why not? The only issue I've been getting is, the online builder doesn't give me an option for a Panoramic Roof on the SR5? Are they only available on the Limited Trim and above?

GoHooter i am by far no expert on these boards . I believe possibly the Limited Trim would achieve most if not all the items you listed. Goodluck and keep us posted on what you decide. When your here you are not alone. We are Tundra !

I don't think I'd skip the 4x4 even if you don't think you will need it as it opens up resale options to folks who live in the northern climates and want a used but southern vehicle free from road salt abuse. But thats a personal choice. I am debating between the limited and platinum myself. I really like the all black interior including headliner of the platinum as , to me, it gives it an upscale feel. However I want a rear locker and much. prefer the softex seats over real leather due to past experience of excellent wear on the softex (2 4runners one with nearly 100k miles and the softex seats look almost brand new - I am sold). I can take or leave the rear height adjustment and AVS option because long term a new suspension is likely going in regardless. Still not fully decided , almost everything can be added either using OEM parts or wait for a solid aftermarket option but cost comes in to play real quick with both those options.

Panoramic roof is only on Limited and above. Same goes with JBL audio system I believe.
Basically only thing on your list you'll be missing out on a SR5 is the Panoramic roof and JBL system. If you really need those. Going to have to go for Limited.

If you don’t use 4x4 don’t get it. It’s suggested to engage it often to keep everything lubricated and functional listed in the manual. People can argue that statement but it’s listed in black and white by Toyota…

Maybe it's area specific package. But where I'm from in Southeast PA, I can't get it. My SR5 TRD sport premium doesn't have JBL. I have the highest SR5 TRD sport premium package. PVM, Advance tech package, Premium audio package. No JBL system.

I can afford 55k, but trying to come down closer to 48-50k. The builds I've come up with are right around 53-54k.

Hence why I started to look closer at the SR5 with an TRD Off-Road Package.

Try different area zip codes, for instance 27127 (Winston-Salem, NC). Different areas allow different "builds" but I don't see the moon roof option for any SR5...you'll have to go Limited to get that.

I know it's quite forward thinking, as you don't even own it yet, but 4x4 would definitely add to resale value; two wheel drive really cuts out a lot of the market.

Maybe a hair higher than your market, but I got a Platinum and love it. Has pretty much everything you are shopping for plus some extras. It is my first Toyota product as well. And don't pay over MSRP, plenty of reasonable dealers out there.

I was planning on paying for MSRP price, but trying to see if they would "throw in" the Chrome Tailgate Insert Badge and Black and Silver Running Boards. Total of about $684.

Good luck! That'd be a heck of a dealer! That sounds like a negotiation of 5 years ago, lol.

I recommend a Limited the cab has isolation bushings and the seats are probably more comfortable

I think you want a limited. Use Denver zip code to play with the configurator.

So after doing some more research reading the forums and all of your comments, I realize if I want the things I want, I need to go with a Limited.

But I have not found a Zip Code that allows me my configuration. Do you guys have any zip codes that allow this kind of configuration?

    CrewMax
    4 x 2 or 4 x 4
    5.5' Bed
    Limited Power Package
    Softex Seats (Standard)

Panoramic Roof (Want, but not a deal breaker)
COLORS: Supersonic Red, Magnetic Gray, or Celestial Silver

PMV Monitor (Not a deal breaker)

Also I do not want to go to a Platinum because I like the Limited "grill and wheels" better than the Platinum.

Try 18103 zip code. I think it has the configuration you want. Supersonic red is an extra $425.
