Where the hell does this plug in??

I just removed the trim piece on the passenger side, where it says "Platinum" and I see this connector hanging. What the heck does it plug into??



I must of had a stroke because I 0% remember unplugging this.

*edit: So after further review everything works without it plugged in. On the back side of the "Platinum" dash piece there is an empty square, and empty plug. I think it goes into that. As to why, no clue.

I wouldn't doubt it, but I cannot for the life of me see/find the female end.

Any other 2023'ers wanna take a look behind that trim? Pops off with hand force.

 

It’s the plug for ambient lighting. I’ve had to unplug it to remove the same trim piece. Mine’s a Capstone which does have the female end on the trim. I’d figure the platinum has it as well, dunno.

 

Does something on your trim light up? Other than the ambient lighting. Like "CAPSTONE" or something?

My female end is just an empty square.

 

Yes, there’s ambient lighting at the bottom and the capstone text lights up.

 

Perfect that's the answer then. My lowly platinum doesn't have light up text like the Capstone.
